interestingly, Seymour has today been given the arse by the Sharks ... coincidence?
i was thinking the same thing. signing kelly as well as the form so far of porter may have made them think this last thing was seymour's last chance.

Hummm.

I remember having a conversation with a Parramatta acquaintance as we lined up for tickets at Newcastle's Energy Australia Stadium,

I was asked who I thought we would be recruiting (before the run and before we got Poore and Shackleton).

Any rate I said I would Pass on Albert Kelly, then another punter in the line, piped up and said, "Your Kidding, Albert Kelly is a future superstar!"
I said, "Maybe, but he is going to take a while to get there, and he has to want to do it first".

Sounds like another in a long line of promising juniors that the club cleverly refused to get into bidding wars over, subsequently released, caused uproar on these forums with mass season ticket burning ceremonies, only for said promising junior to not really live up to promise and ultimately end up not coming back to bite us on the bum after all.

Lesson to all: calm the f**k down next time...

In our current side i have no doubt Kelly> Mortimer at half.

Kid has a better kicking, passing game & loads more vision. Mortz has better defence and is tougher.

Wouldn't mind seeing Kelly again.

Lol...people bag Morts for talking to the media, I'd LOVE to see how they'd respond to a bloke who blows off school, skips out on training and can't be contacted for days at a time because he's "homesick" for his relatives (who live in faraway Redfern BTW), thinks everyone should just pander to his whims because he's Albert f**king Kelly and chucks tantrums when they don't....

I think the general point I'm trying to get across here is "Hahahaha....no thanks".

I think Albert Kelly thinks he's more of a superstar than he actually is.

Glad we didn't pay overs to keep him, don't think there'll be much disappointment that he was ones of the one that "got away".

Maybe if the Broncos took him and let Greg Inglis get him under his attention, Kelly may develop the potential that he obviously has.
It is a shame when kids who 'have it' do not get the opportunity to go on with it.
Albert is a boy from the bush, who needs guidance and example from someone who he is close to and respects.
