Smith has nothing to apologise for that's why he hasn't got in contact with Mckinnon.

I want to know if Mckinnon apologised for high fiving his team mates and walking round like he was king shit when he shoulder charged McClean and continued to celebrate the hit when McClean was on the turf concussed and with a broken jaw?

Can't believe the anger has turned to Smith because he was standing up for his team and hasn't apologised for it. What is this, primary school? For the record I am far far far from a Cameron Smith fan but this sob story for Alex has run it's course.

Rugby league is tough, injuries have and always will happen, get used to it.

Well said.

More importantly, I hope Newcastles captain called McLean to make sure he was ok.

Because by the comments in here, that's clearly more important.

Nothing new to see here, Alex has had plenty of time to rehash what happened many times, there is absolutely no difference between now and anywhere in between except we're close to an Origin decider. Smith has had to live with his conscience and some say he has tried to make contact with Alex but been refused.

There are families trying to overcome the death of boys playing the game who won't get anywhere near the same attention, easy for me to say but in the same position as Alex I would man up and make a point of showing absolutely not even a skerrick of admonishment for anyone involved on the day. It would be disastrous to have anyone pity or belittle my effort to overcome a tragic accident.

Alex will suffer far more than Smith in this media beat-up for a quick dollar . . . that's the real shame

yeah well one bloke had a sore head
the other cant walk ever again.

so its is almost the same thing

The aftermath obviously is worse for Alex.

But at the time of both incidents, McClean could have been much more injured than just unconscious and a broken jaw. It was a brutal head clash, he could have fractured his skull among other things.

It's easy for Alex to claim his well-being wasn't taken into consideration when he was injured on the field, but did he take McCleans well-being into consideration whilst high fiving his team mates after knocking out McClean?

Let's stop worrying about Cameron Smith and just hope Alex walks again one day. No more poor me stories please.

I think, if I remember rightly, Gidley (or the knights captain) argued vehemently & continuously on the night Snowden smashed whatees jaw about the legality of the incident.

It happens, that is what captains are told to do.

Except it wasn't a shoulder charge, his left arm was wrapping around but they clashed heads before the tackle was completed

The damage to his face wasn't due to his shoulder but it was a shoulder charge, he doesn't go for the shoulder charge they don't clash heads.

um
high five...yeah if that.
He probably had concussion himself at the time. He split his head open in the hit.

And is not like he was high fiving anyone when McClean was leaving the field.
All that was happening then was Smith was trying to blame McKinnon and get a penalty.

It wasn't a shoulder charge. His left arm (the leading side of his body) was out and wrapping around but they clashed heads before the tackle could be completed. Either learn what a shoulder charge is or stop posting, you are just making yourself look stupid

nuthin.
It was an accident.

Smith however wants a penalty or some shit.

That was an unfortunate head clash, no penalty there, I don't have a problem with it, but I remember Leilua ran in and gave him a gob full, did he really have to do that? No need for it, and would cop plenty from his coach.

Smith was dirty that it was ruled a knock on.

Have you ever watched a game of NRL moron? IF a bloke knocks on in a tackle then whoever tackled him always get high fives and pats on the back, f**king every single time. A guy drops the ball cold without being touched and the opposition all run in pumped and high fiving etc
