Nothing new to see here, Alex has had plenty of time to rehash what happened many times, there is absolutely no difference between now and anywhere in between except we're close to an Origin decider. Smith has had to live with his conscience and some say he has tried to make contact with Alex but been refused.

There are families trying to overcome the death of boys playing the game who won't get anywhere near the same attention, easy for me to say but in the same position as Alex I would man up and make a point of showing absolutely not even a skerrick of admonishment for anyone involved on the day. It would be disastrous to have anyone pity or belittle my effort to overcome a tragic accident.

Alex will suffer far more than Smith in this media beat-up for a quick dollar . . . that's the real shame
I think he's come to the point where the penny has dropped and he's feeling a lot of anger and resentment.
The book may have been better released in a few years time when he has come to terms with the whole situation.

If I was Smith I would harbor no ill feelings because McKinnon is probably in a difficult place and likely been talked into all sorts of things.

um
high five...yeah if that.
He probably had concussion himself at the time. He split his head open in the hit.

And is not like he was high fiving anyone when McClean was leaving the field.
All that was happening then was Smith was trying to blame McKinnon and get a penalty.

High five / low five, same thing. He was clearly celebrating McClean being knocked out.

Had McClean suffered more than the broken jaw (which he very well could have for all we knew without him getting an xray), fractured skull, neck injury, brain damage, would you still be barracking for Alex after him celebrating and being congratulated by all of his fellow knights team mates for putting McClean into that position.

Have you ever watched a game of NRL moron? IF a bloke knocks on in a tackle then whoever tackled him always get high fives and pats on the back, f**king every single time.

Yea when a blokes on the ground clearly injured, hypocritical Mckinnon and it wasn't just a high five Mckinnon is clearly pumped and pleased with his efforts.

& I'd like to point out Mckinnons old man is a renowned grub, one of the dirtiest sons of bitches you'd see play rugby league so when he says he can't forgive Smith for a few comments is rediculous

Pumped that he forced a knock on probably. Watch this round you will see reactions exactly like that from tacklers who force knock ons 100 times.

Maybe so but that is pure speculation.

F*ck me, the hits just keep on coming with you don't they?

Not content with McKinnon himself, you've shifted your attention to his father.

Gutter scum.

So if I wrote "he clearly" like you did it would be fact? hahaha keep digging genius.

There is no way of telling what he was celebrating. I said its probably because imo its far more likely he was celebrating the knock on(like we see every game) rather then celebrating knocking McClean out accidently with a head clash.

Point taken and to be honest I'm not even disagreeing with you. Yes he probably is celebrating the ball being knocked on but we don't know that.

Fair enough. Even if he was celebrating the knock out(which would be bad I agree) it was a high five the instant after it happened, not a few minutes later when he has calmed down.

If anything that video just proves what scum Joey Leilua is, he is the one who ran in and gave an unconscious mcclean a mouthful.

Just watched the video of the head clash. After the contact Alex turns away clearly disorientated and low fives Costigan before he even realises McLean is hurt. The mentally handicapped Victorians in the crowd start booing and the refs make the right decision and gives the Knights the scrum. These two cocksnaps pissing and moaning about it deserve about a thousand uppercuts each.

What happened to McKinnon was an accident. Plain and simple. Not even close to the worst tackle I've ever seen. He dipped his head at the wrong moment.

Cam Smith wasn't involved in the tackle and suggested the above to the ref. But because of McKinnon's injury he's supposed to call and apologise? Jesus Christ.

Should he call for every injury that happens in games he plays? Or is there some sort of criteria. Someone clear this up. f**king unbelievable.

I watch commercials for the 60 Minutes shows and laugh and wonder who watches that completely fabricated, scripted bullshit. Now I know. You guys got played and suckered hard.

"Watch as the terrifying drama unfolds, leaving you breathless!" I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume there were some tears, things that up until airtime had been unsaid. Get outta here.
