Nothing new to see here, Alex has had plenty of time to rehash what happened many times, there is absolutely no difference between now and anywhere in between except we're close to an Origin decider. Smith has had to live with his conscience and some say he has tried to make contact with Alex but been refused.

There are families trying to overcome the death of boys playing the game who won't get anywhere near the same attention, easy for me to say but in the same position as Alex I would man up and make a point of showing absolutely not even a skerrick of admonishment for anyone involved on the day. It would be disastrous to have anyone pity or belittle my effort to overcome a tragic accident.

Fair enough. Even if he was celebrating the knock out(which would be bad I agree) it was a high five the instant after it happened, not a few minutes later when he has calmed down.

Just watched the video of the head clash. After the contact Alex turns away clearly disorientated and low fives Costigan before he even realises McLean is hurt. The mentally handicapped Victorians in the crowd start booing and the refs make the right decision and gives the Knights the scrum.
