But if Warrington dont make it, he still has made his intention clear and you will all say he shouldnt be picked.

so i say should it not eventuate why should he be allowed to then line up for the Kangaroos?

Told you this would come up.

what about when tallis refused to play for St George. Later in his career he was being touted as a possible australian captain. What were your thoughts then?

There were two sides to that, it wasn't just a matter of them turning their back on test jumper, they were stripped from them first. How many SL players were selected in 95 to play for australia and in Origin? It was a two way street, they weren't wanted because they signed with SL in 95, then were expected to want to play in 96 when SL was starting in 97. How f**ked up is that? And you want to use it as an example in this, it's not the same thing at all.

The only people who say "Well that's different" is the Super League fans. Perfectly okay for the Super-League players to say "f**k Off" and then still be picked.

But no this is Johns, who didn't sign with Super League, so now the News Ltd media, and Super Scum supporters have to pay him back for turning them down.

And they're using this to do it.

How childish can you be Kiwi?

Totally sperate issues mate, Tallis never declined the honour of representing his country for a micky mouse club game. Johns now has.

No I agree it was totally different. Instead of just missing one game because he has commitments elsewhere, he missed an entire season because he couldnt get his way. Then the NRL came very close to allowing him to be captain of Australia.

Your an idiot.
If you cant see the major difference in the situations then frankly your not worth the time or effort in debating the issue with.

Well there ya go. Hows that. Do you think the NRL will not allow johns to play again for australia?

All these people here will climb up on the soap box, p!ss and moan about how this and that shouldnt be allowed to happen and then when the thread runs its course its all over and the actual people with power will make their own decision and that will be that.

What are you on about?

The DTs' team of "journos" would never say a bad word about the great man.

If Warrington do make the SLGF at Old Trafford in front of 65,000 fans... how is that a micky mouse club game ?

I suggest you read the Courier Mail sometime who do nothing but knock Johns and say he isn't even close to Lockyer in ability and never has been, and use every single small issue to issue a giant tirade agaisnt him, but then defend Lockyer saying he did nothing wrong making the rapist joke. The BK-AJ argument in the pub, which was nothing but 2 friends having words was splashed across the back page and editorials for a week were saying how he should be banished from the Australian team, etc.

Riiight, that's why they print Joey's column in the Sunday Mail.

Really? That's odd, since I distinctly remember reading post-match reports after this years origin where both Steve Ricketts and Mike Colman state that Johns had reclaimed his rank as the leagues premier player.

You say News Ltd. has this great agenda with AJ, but all you can do is point to a Brisbane based newspaper renowned for its bias towards anything Bronco? Try reading the DT once in a while; it's one big love-inn, where every second article holds a tribute to Joey.
