I don’t know, it wouldn’t surprise me if a lot players sent him messages. You can not like someone professionally but still be decent towards them when they exit.

Agree with @herbert henry1908. He might lack tactical nous but Maybe Griffin isn’t the big bad wolf everyone on here is peddling?

If you’re making up a rumour about why you fell out with someone, I’m not sure you’d be that specific to name a player. Very likely to be true.

Would need to get more sides to the story to know. Wal would have to say something although we've heard enough.

I get the sense the dislike is more his game plans, not him personally. So whilst they might not have hated the guy, some might still be happy he’s gone.

I did also notice in Gus’ interview he backed away from saying Griffin lost the playing group & changed it to ‘they were recently confused about the game plan’.

I do sense he’s a little prickly, not exactly a good communicator.

I just think it’s common courtesy to send someone a message that you worked so closely with, you never know if your paths will cross again. Small world rugby league.

I agree. I learnt many years ago. That you don't burn bridges either.

I think in hindsight Sowie's comments from a player point of view were interesting too.
