It is why EPL teams now have a director of football who controls recruitment and retention. The model is for coaches to come in and coach and not replace all the staff, the players, the processes and so on. It costs a fortune and the club loses its way. The coach asks for certain players and the club will try and get them, but sometimes they will overrule and say "he is too old, too injury prone. You can't have that player". It means a club having a strategy about how they want to play, develop resources and recruit.
The Panthers are clear they are a development club. They don't want a coach who wants to sign big name players. They want a coach who will bring on youngsters and get them to play entertaining football. Give them guidance and help to grow as first graders. It now seems they also want a collaborative, winning culture, a servant leader, not a Napoleon, god like superman. Amen to that.
