It's great if he puts his hand up to play. I'm sure we all want that desire. The problem comes if he does that and plays badly.

You have to have your best players available as much as possible.

To much is made on here of one player having an off game or two.

Only a couple of games back, not mentioning any names, there were some that suggested Peachy should be dropped to N.S.W Cup!!!!.

I didn't comment, I bit my tongue at the time. But seriously this is what is so wrong about us keyboard warriors on here.

We are fans (some of us anyway). We are not experts. We are not coaches. We basically no f**k all if the truth be known.

We have had a pretty fair season given all the adversity, but sometimes if you just jumped on here in the last couple of weeks you would think we were running dead last and that get's up my nose.

Most want perfection always.. It creates unrealistic expectations

I thought Peachey could be dropped but I also defended him at FB when the need arose.

I said that so maybe before getting passive aggressive. We have our frontline centres fit and May/Egan pushing for a first grade position while Peachey isn't here next year. It's not some great negative. While people might not agree I have a pretty reasonable argument at the very least. I also defended Peach at fullback when we needed him.

That's fine mate.

No issues.

The issue is we had unrealistic expectations from the onset of this season given some expressed the view we had a top four squad.

Maybe at full strength with no injuries we did. Maybe other sides, particularly the better sides would have experienced the injury woes we have been subjected to but they haven't.

I've been around for a long time, watched 50 years of Panther sides, and this current side has the potential to be very good, not great currently, but given what we have endured throughout the entire season I think we deserved a pass mark at the very worst.

Should I also say I don't recall too many given credit to the coach for having the courage of selecting Tyrone Peachy at fullback. It seem's to have been glossed over given the fact many were highly critical of his even considering this option. For the record I don't think it was a master stroke by Griffin given his options were probably limited, but none the less Peachy got the job done and again the anti Griffin brigade seem so ignore anything in the slightest way positive done by him.

Wee did/do have a top 4 squad other than for injuries.

You also except there is other things out of our control. You are one of the good ones you realise it will take time. I think you said 3 years originally which is fair

He was a pleasant surprise back there. I am keen to see how he backs up merely because I don't see how we go well without DWZ/Mansour on the wings

Most of our victories this season we have been missing at least one of them from the wings. Neither has played on the wing for a number of them included what is probably our best performance of the season v the dragons and last time we played the raiders.

Yes 3 years. That was the length of Griffin's contract so it made sense to me that the club wait to see how he goes. Gives good sample size of results, Its always said it takes a couple of years for a new coach and another club isn't going to poach Griffin.

Yeah but we think ahead player wise coaches make sense too. Like the moment we decide that we will have another coach. Griffin should be paid out.. So the opposite makes sense too

Whenever there a lot of changes in the team(especially the spine) it gets used as an excuse when we play shit. But Griffin makes another unnecessary change to the spine no less and we are supposed to credit him for it? Lol. Well done hook you changed our combinations and disrupted the continuity of the team even more. I bet Dallin who has been great at Fb and publicly stated he wanted to play there was thrilled with being replaced by peach who had never played the position before.

Mate, we agree to disagree often.

As I have said time and time again I don't think Anthony Griffin is the coach to lead us to our next premiership but at the same time there is a general malaise on here that will not give him credit no matter what he does such as the general hatred of him.

You basically despise the bloke and nothing he does, in your eyes, will ever be good enough.

I don't put myself out there as being the be all and end all but I think I at the very least try and offer objective options rather than just criticise everything the guy does. I don't get it mate. I just don't get the whole always seeing the negative.

Another comment full of rubbish. I’ve literally given him credit in this thread. Go back and check my comments I was praising Griffin when we were Playing good footy. I was even making jokes about stupid I looked. Short memories around here.

Stop telling me what I think and putting words in my mouth. I don’t despise anyone. I certainly don’t think Griffin will ever win us a premiership that is true, but I’ll happily admit I’m an idiot if he ever does. Never be good enough my ass, I was happily giving him credit when looked good.

We'll you have certainly fooled me and probably the majority of us on here if the truth be known.

You see losing is part of the game. It is the way it is. You talk about our recent form and we would have all liked to have been 5-5 rather than 2-5 but there are reasons why it is what it is.

From my perspective, if Trent Robinson or Craig Bellamy, had of sustained the injuries we have been subjected throughout the entire season just maybe they would not be going quite as well as there are now?

I am not putting words in your mouth, you post what you do, and it is a shame for someone who obviously has a passion for the Panthers that (IMO) you can't be more objective and not see the need to be so critical of those who don't share your views.

He had to do it. Crichton was utterly exposed against the Broncos. DCE would have been wetting his pants with excitement. Dallin will understand the position.
