Gus thinks we should be going a lot better than what we are.
Without the ability to read the mind of a very successful football club manager, I can only go by his words. He says the side's best is ahead of it. Now this might mean they need a new coach, or it might mean they need a bit more experience.
The club has been making a name for itself in the area of philanthropy. Donations to drought-affected farmers, support for the sport in its target regions and such. I'd humbly submit that paying out a coach at a seven figure cost who is poised to reach the playoffs for the third straight year in as many attempts, and paying on top of that whatever it costs to get a better one, would be a very poor use of money that could better be used in raising the club's profile in these areas.
We just need to be patient, difficult as it might be. Yesterday was an improvement on last week. The big year may not be this year, although we are still well in it, but every chance it could be next year.
