Im also curious as to why Kris Keating and Daniel Mortimer are already considered our long term halves. Neither has a great kicking game which is IMO the most important quality of a half.

Neither does Kelly. Reading between the lines, if Kelly stays he will be a centre. I trust Anderson's judgement. He is no fool. Whatever happens, happens.

Tigers linked.

Please sign him up Tigers.

$150,000 per season for a kid who hasn't ever played first grade.

That has to be massive overs isn't it?

But why sign a kid who can actually play in the halves?

Wouldn't Sheens be more interested in a hooker or centre that can do the same job?

Lol why the f**k would he want to play for the tigers?
It will take a lot more than 150k to get him to go there.

I am happy because he is actually a half.

And he can score tries.

What is his defense like? I want to know if he is worth 150k.

Hasn't played first grade, is yet to dominate SG Ball and NYC on a regular basis. Is quite skillful and is a decent defender. Worth 150,000? To the Tigers maybe......

Yet I hear that he is a must sign to Parramatta. You know you dont want to lose him.

Yet to dominate? I heard he scored 5 tries in a game.

On a regular basis. Played quite well in that game as well from what I heard but he needs to do it against good teams regularly.

Parramatta have made him an offer as to what he is worth and are keen to keep him. The Storm have made an offer that is very similar. The Tigers have come in and offered well above what the latter have offered.

If they are willing to offer 150,000 I hope you get him. ;-)

I want to get him because he is a half, not a hooker or a second-row but a half. It's been a while since we signed a half (DO NOT SAY MORRIS OR HEAD, Head barely played and Sheens didn't like him)

for those who saw the game where he scored 5 tries, all were reporting that they were all opportunists tries in a game where we ended up scoring 12 tries to.

You have Wayde Dunley, Tim Moltzen and Blake Lazarus all of whom have shown as much as Albert - one is injured yes, however the other two haven't seen any time or is being played out of position. Why would you wish your club to buy a half when the coach seems more inclined to play anyone but a half in the halves.

Are you really willing to see your club pay possibly close to double for a kid who han't even played first grade yet?

This is what is known as paying overs.

Put it this way.

If Sheens cant play Dunley after losing 5 in a row and Morris's bad performances plus injury, I do not think he will get a run. I, however, like Blake Lazarus as a fullback, where Moltzen can move to the centres, where I think he can develop. He has looked comfortable there.

I would want Marshall and Dunley in the halves, but we know Sheens. But if he is paying 150k to Kelly, which in your words is overs, then he would probably start him. Which means real halves.

KK has probably shown more than Kelly in all games and he would be on about 50-60K IMO. Mortimer would be on maybe 25K (NYC cap player) and might move to about the same next year. We have Amosa who would be luck to be on 25K... guys like Pearce, Mullen are probably on 150K.

Sign someone for $150k who has had half a season in NYC and has not played consistent footy is definatly overs... if you think otherwise you are lying to yourself.
