Ava re-signing is fantastic news. Forward pack shaping up to look like:
Woods
Farah
Sue
Lawrence
Sironen
Taupau

Ava
Edwards
X
Probably Lovett

X is the last gap to fill. Lodge would be perfect for that but I doubt that guy will last a full season with his behaviour issues

I'd still be putting a big question mark against Farah and even if still there, Cherrington will probably be on the interchange bench.

I'll be surprised if chee kam doesn't get a bench spot. A lot will depend on whether halatau resigns.

One thing we do have going for us next year is woods and sue (and Ava) can all play big minutes while Lawrence and sironen are both 80 min (if needed) back rowers. With the reduced interchange that's one thing that will favourite us.

Halatau is probably hinging on whether Farah goes elsewhere.

Although the board seem very hellbent on it, I assume he would have been re-signed already, which leads me to believe that Farah is either staying, or Farah is going and there's someone else being signed on chump change (Matt Ballin coming back from a knee reco.)

Of those leaving the only one with any real promise is Te Maire Martin. So no big loss with that lot. All would be on minimal contracts so we will be replacing them all with minimal contract players i would guess. So in net terms for the salary cap no real change.

Just to clear things up, from the Tigers webb page

Wests Tigers have today announced the additions of forwards Rod Griffin and William McConnachie, as well as the re-signing of Jack Buchanan, as the Club continues to strengthen its playing roster for the 2016 season.

So first he was told he could go elsewhere then Taylor suddenly thought he would help strengthen our roster.

?We?re always looking to strengthen our squad, and having these three players on board for next season will really help us do that,? Taylor said.

Isn't it exciting to have players like Buchanan and lesser known players strengthening our forward pack. I'm so relieved. For a moment there I didn't think Taylor or management had any idea on how to run an NRL squad.

The signing of these three concerns me actually. Buchanan, well he hasn't done much and I don't think he will get that much time in the top side. The other two are unknown really and from the little I have seen suggests they are pretty solid and play their best in the back row, something we have all been calling for.

That said, it now makes me think they are coming in to cover the loss of Taupau....time will tell.

If Farah does stay with the Tigers next year, it has has been spoken of on the NRL site that it will be to play under the strict instructions of Taylor. I don't think that is the best way to use Farah so this whole saga is going to get much uglier I think. I don't like seeing creative players stifled.

If true, that would mean Taylor's future is essentially in Farah's hands. If Farah plays very one dimensional and the tigers lose a heap of early games, Taylor will get the arse.

And if thats the case, then forcing Farah to adopt Taylor's style is the highest risk option (success wise) the club could possibly take.

As I've said before, any coaching strategy designed to stifle Farah will have the same effect on Cherrington.

And that is what is so f**king stupid about this whole ordeal.

We finally get a 9 capable of replacing Farah and we go and hire the only coach that hamstrings the attack and makes us play one dimensional rubbish that has proven this season, not to work.

If Taylor comes up with the same stuff next year we are gone. I'm less concerned about the Farah drama. If he goes or stays we should be okay assuming Taylor doesn't tell us to play dumb losing footy.

Resigning of Buchanan isn't a big one for me. One of two things will happen, he'll either hit form (coming into the age when props begin to really mature,) or he'll fade into obscurity and be playing with the Cutters next year.

If Robbie stays and Taylor stays then you can kiss the season good bye as neither will work with the other. If Taylor goes then we might as well bring back beji , gibbs , beau ryan and the rest of the boys club, no decent coach will touch us and the players will once again run the show.

If Robbie goes then we can use taylor to do a brian smith cleanout and try to hire a good coach in 2017 .

Sorry, but that's all rubbish.

Farah adopted Potter's gameplan and Taylor's gameplan for the entire time they coached. You could clearly see the change in his playing style after Sheens left. This proves quite clearly that Farah does as he is told a lot more than people believe.

I've no doubt farah and Taylor don't get on. But if Taylor gets the arse, then it doesn't mean at all, that the players are running the show. That's nonsense.

If that were the case, we wouldn't have won any games this season.
