If Farah wins and Taylor gets the arse or loses power then in the pr battle the players are seen to have won and good coach will want to touch us. The only way we sign a good coach is if taylor does all the dirty work and someone else who can coach comes in and claims the glory.

I think Taylor purposely stifled Robbies game so that he would be more inclined to leave. As he doesn't want to leave, I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor does a complete 180 and tells Farah to play his natural game. Wouldn't be surprised if he moved Lawrence to the back row to basically let him sink or swim.

Robbie is a professional. He doesn't have to like the coach but if Taylor stops playing games and uses our players to their strengths then it won't matter

Apparently we have signed Ballin. Can you believe it. 3 hookers - Robbie, Ballin and Cherrington. Awesome.

Does this guy just outright lie. Surely we can't be any chance of losing more players.

Why not state he was offered more money than we were willing to offer on the basis that this is the truth. I'm not even sure if that is the case.

Jason Taylor states that Halatau has been resigned and he will go a long way in filling the void that Taupau leaving has left. Faaaaaaaaark me !!! Taylor's face and his annoying little jockey voice just make me angry !!!

There are several danger signs there in Tapau's statement that WT should be very worried about. They get to the heart of the mess that WT is in, and its seemingly endless lack of recent success and even hope for success.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to play in a strong team"

WT are not strong and competitive

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to play in a strong team alongside some of the game’s biggest names in Jamie Lyon, Brett Stewart, Daly Cherry-Evans, Peta Hiku and Steve Matai,’’

WT basically have a team of youngsters with a few old heads that have been told they can look elsewhere (Farah & Lawrence)

“The Sea Eagles have recruited well for next season and to have the opportunity to play with Australian and Queensland prop Nate Myles, and fellow Kiwi international Lewis Brown, was an added bonus in securing my future with Manly."

WT have not recruited well for some years and continue the search in the bargain basement leftover bins.

“It is a fresh beginning at the Sea Eagles under new Head Coach Trent Barrett and I’m really looking forward to playing under him.

Obviously a non too subtle dig at Taylor and his methods. The scuttlebut at Tapau's extreme unhappiness over the treatment of Farah must be true.

“The Sea Eagles are one of the most successful clubs in the history of rugby league and I want to be a big part in getting them back into the finals next season as they celebrate their 70thAnniversary.”

WT have a mediocre record, where results are the last thing people are held to account on. Too many examples to even bother listing.

Why would any player of note want to come and play for WT now in our current and immediate future zero prospects? Tapau has called WT, Taylor and our real future for lack of success, continued 'rebuilding' and little hope for the future.

I find it hard to fault his reasoning although I would have made him stay next year.

Taylor has to go. NOW. Get Toovey and we need NRL assistance to both weather the supposed salary cap crisis, pay out this **$$#### and break this cycle we are in. I dont care if Farah goes or stays but this club is in real danger. It cannot keep going like this.

Halatau aint no Taupau. Halatau is a poor mans Fulton

Halatau is a real good player. The thing is he is only a role player. Taupau can win games for you.

Magpies Forever - I think it all comes down to money. They offered more than us. The problem in my opinion is that BS comments stating how this will help the cap. We should have made him play next year.
