To all my fellow tragic WT supporters . . . . Have a Merry Christmas and hopefully a bright 2016 !!!
Thanks Rosco and I too wish the best to all the other tragic's.

In regards to Grant, will he take the ball up with speed, aggro and venom like Galloway has in the past? I know who I'd prefer  Great to have some additional size up front.

Galloway is one of the biggest fraudsters to have played the game.He wouldn't have lasted 5 mins against many of the fearsome forwards of the 70's & 80's.This fairy got away with perpetually bludging under the helicopter coach the sheenius.Even though I'm not a big fan of grant he does carry the ball well & we r in desperate need of experience in forwards.I hope we do sign him.

Let's hope miracles happen @ concord in '16 !

Galloway had a few good years. In 2010-11 he was fantastic. I'd definetly say he under achieved throughout his career though. Kind of guy that at a more intense club who didn't accept mediocrity probably would have flourished.

Galloway makes good yards but is slow off the ground and offers little else in attack. An 8m run and a quick play the ball is better than a 10m run and a very slow play the ball. His defence will be missed.

On the subject of new signing a relative was saying at lunch yesterday he stopped off and watched the team training a week or so ago and he was impressed with both Griffin and McConnachie.

I know it is only early days with training but it sounds promising. He said both look deceptively quick. He said he wouldn't be surprised if both end up in the top team at some stage.

Here's hoping!!!!

I've been banging on for two months about them. It's not as if the unconventional style of Ipswich suited their skill sets. They are old school. They were the rocks with Kieron lander that enabled the walker boys to weave their magic.

I think most fans are looking forward to these guys. The QLD cup has been proved to be a higher standard then the NSW cup for a while now. Look at what a guy like Jake Graville did in his first full year of NRL. There's plenty of talent running around.

After the walker Bros started getting some media half way through the year I watched ipswitch when they were on fox.

To me Griffin is pretty close to a sure thing. His stats from the QLD cup finals series are insane. Averaged 19 hit ups for 199ms. He is now 28, fittest he has ever been and seems very settled off the field. This is his 4th shot at the NRL and would release its his last. He won't be an Aaron Woods style player but more like an Aiden Tolman. Will do the tough work and hopefully play lots of NRL.

McConnachie could go either way IMO. In a fulltime environment you would expect his game to improve. To me there's no reason he shouldn't be in the side over a guy like Joel Edwards. He can be just as effective in defence but add more in attack. Discipline and fitness are the things that might hold him back.

The signing of these two guys are why I'm not excited about the (supposed) Tim Grant signing. We know what we will get with Grant but given the opportunity I think both these guys could be better and would likely be on a third of Grants wage.

I cant really comment on these two boys from the Qld cup, hopefully they will go alright, but gee the WT have had some bludgers in the pack in recent seasons Blair,Galloway,Anasta,Sirro to name a few...Grant is possibly a shade better player than Keith but the last thing we need is players that dont put in.

Someone mentioned on Talkin Sport this afternoon if they'd heard that Elijah Taylor had signed with the Tigers.

I'm hearing the same thing. If true, will be interesting to see how we play him. Sue back into prop rotation and Taylor to lock. The bloke can play 80 minutes at FG standard, will be a very handy player have!

Id prefer Taylor on the edge or on the bench. Guy is pretty skillful with ball in hand and our edge forwards are our weakest spot by some margain.

So with the Eels being forced to cut their roster immediately to get under the cap is there anyone over there worth chasing ? Might be going cheap

Beau Scott. He could show the useless bludger sironen & a few others what's required to be in the upper echelon of backrowers over a long period of time !

Geez we could do with Scotts no nonsense old school toughness & durability !
