Been a good card so far leading into the main event. Fabio Maldonado put on one the ballsiest displays I've ever seen, dudes an absolute beast!!!

I watched an online feed of the main card and was really impressed with the fights. Fitch looked determined and dominating cant believe he survived that choke.

The two face book fights were quality as well. Have the prelims recorded for later.

Pissed myself yesterday when I saw Big Nog won via submission against Dave Herman.
After Herman has repeatedly stated that Jiu Jitsu doesnt work and he doesnt train jiu jitsu and how proud he was to not be submitted ever in his career. Then after Big Nog put the arm bar on him, he taps and then you see Herman mouth the words "F__k me".

I do think Herman is a quality fighter but he is very naive....also after Glover Texiera called out Rampage (Kind of) in the post fight interview with Ariel Helwani, Rampage has taken to twitter and asked Dana White to give Glover what he wants...would be a very interesting fight!

Rampage is gonna cop a beating. Glover is a f**king beast and the only reason e didn't kill someone yesterday is because Maldonado must be made out of cast iron. As Fufu said, one of the ballsiest displays I've ever seen. thankfully the fight didn't go into the 3rd.

Fitch fails to finish again, but looked ok I guess. Sorta same old same old with Fitch as usual as I thought he could've stopped silva. Particularly since it looked like he broke silvas will in the 2nd.

Gee Herman made it easy for big nog in the end. Thought he was defending particularly well until he decided to roll to his belly, giving big nog the chance to go belly down with the armbar. Gotta love a Big Nog win in Brazil, crowd is brilliant.

Anderson/Bonnar study was hilarious. Watching Andy continually reset his position against the cage was crazy. Bonnar landed a few as well but as rogan kept saying, silva can roll/take punches better than anyone. One knee and it was all over.

Overall was a good card, any card that has the GOAT pulling off some crazy shit is fine by me.

Why so much Fitch hate? That wasn't a lay and pray. He hammered the shit out of silva in the 3rd. He would have been tired after defending that choke as well. I had that last round 10-8

Yeah, quite enjoyed the card yesterday (watched at Wellington's 4Kings bar), favourite fight was Fitch/Silva, both guys escaped so many submission attempts, was awesome.

Agreed on Fabio being a machine, his face was a mess when the doc called it off.

Agreed also on Bonnar/Silva fight being hilarious. Particularly when Bonnar went for a back kick, Silva just nonchalantly steps to his right so Bonnar kicks the cage, then calmly steps back to the spot where Bonnar had just missed. Crazy fight, that knee looked like it really hurt, kind of a shame that the fight didn't go longer.

The fight was great, I just really like Erick Silva and Fitch fought well, but he had to so he gets noticed, once he gets a big fight again, he will start going back to his lay n pray ways.

Silva absolutely toyed with Bonnar. Actually felt a bit sorry him if that was his swan song, should end with a bout between himself and Forrest, could be the retirement fight for both of them.

Also on Herman vs big nog, Herman looked very cocky, dono if it was on purpose but as rogan stated he's got a stupid looking smile on his face, he had nothing to be cocky about don't think he had nog worried at any stage whatsoever.

I reckon if tex beats rampage (you'd think so) he gets a no.1 contender fight for the title maybe against Rua/Evans/Machida/??Cormier??

I dont think you will see Cormier in the LHW division...hes a true HW and is a big human, would be too much weight for him to cut his takedowns would not be as effective....he is an outstanding wrestler of Olympic level, but he uses his size very well when taking people down. He has only called out Jones to fight at HW not LHW.

Texiera only wants to fight a fit Rampage, which is a very dangerous Rampage, that would be a barn burner!

Without digging up links I've seen Cormier talk about going down to LHW a few times and going for the belt especially if Cain wins. Dana has even talked about it as recently as when they were in the UK.

Does anyone else think that Jones/Silva will happen? That appeals to me way more then Silva/GSP. I don't see Silva taking the Jones fight though due to the size difference.

Silva just likes to take on crappy guys in his and the LHW division. He'll never take on Jones because he knows he might lose.

See I doubt bones wants anything to do with Anderson's stand up in as much as Andy doesn't want anything to do with bone's size.

To say Anderson ducks good fighters is a joke. Who are these great fighters he's ducking?

I'm not saying Anderson is ducking Jones btw. Just can't see him taking the fight with Jones no matter how much money they throw at it given the risk... He is 38 next April... Realistically how many fights does he have left in him? I think he has 2 on his contract(could be wrong) and he can go into a "superfight" with GSP where he would have the size advantage.

Weidman is an interesting match up as he has "the hype machine" going hard atm. Bisping vs Anderson holds no real interest for me.

Also on the sherdog forums they are having a field day with poor Bonnar.

Wasn't aiming the ducking at you mate.

as ive said on here numerous times before... Silva wants none of Jones.

and its not entirely because of his size... his wrestling will scare the shit out of Anderson.

imagine a 6ft 4, 215-220 pound Anderson Silva who's 12 years younger and has a strong wrestling base.

thats what Jon Jones is... actually he's even more than that... hes also now got the deadliest ground and pound on the planet.

Anderson Silva is a f**king legend... he blows my mind... but your f**king insane if you think its gonna be anything other than JJ putting him on his back and cutting his face up with those nasty elbows.
