That was so awesome. Was on a GSP knockout, thought I was in the money during the first two rounds....

Sucked to see Kampmann get KTFO, but it was bound to happen, he gets dropped/rocked in a lot of his fights.

That left on Hendricks is just brutal. He really knows how to put everything behind it.

Happy for GSP, don't even care how he wins - this is why it's called MMA, if you only want to see two guys stand up and trade blows go and watch boxing.

You're missing the point here, look MMA is about more than stand up, I think most genuine fans can appreciate good ground work, the thing that frustrates me about GSP is he fights safe, uses the jab to keep the opponent at bay and then takedown and is happy to stay in full or half guard and use his soffocating top game, doesn't really try to finish the fight, and whilst is effective it's not very aesthetically pleasing. I think the Matt Serra fight really brought out the strategic side of GSP, before that he was very entertaining to watch. In saying that I still like GSP a lot, great ambassador for the sport in terms of his character and personality, always the perfect gentleman and has respect. I think there's still this perception by some people that MMA fighters are thugs, if they listened to GSP speak for 5 minutes they definitely wouldn't have that perception

I think Sunday's fight was exciting and up there for fight of the year. Not really getting the GSP knockers for this one.

Not sure what people want from GSP. The guy has a successful strategy that nobody can get past. Its not like the guy sits in his opponents guard and does nothing, he is very good at passing guard (passed BJ Penn's guard on multiple occasions which is not easy) and is always looking to do damage with punches and elbows. If you have a formula and it works time and again why change because people want quick finishes. Dont get me wrong I love a good KO/submission, but why fix something that aint broke, and I agree with Jono, that was a great fight so I am not quite sure why there is so much hate...stinks of tall poppy to me.

Last I checked using your jab and wrestling is very important in MMA...the guy is not stupid...why start winging punches around like a lunatic to try and get a finish.

There is no way imo you could call that Condit fight boring and it is not as if Condit is some scrub who can be finished easily... And he was coming off 18 months off!

Gee some high standards from some.

Thought it was a cracking fight. Only disappointment for me is that Condit didn't win. that head kick combo was a thing of beauty. GSP looked a tad rusty but he is just so f**king good. Don't think he LnP this one. Was always working a causing damage but credit has to go to condit for his work on the ground. I thought he did well to make GSP work plenty while on top.

Hendricks has a freaking nuke for a left hand. He has the style to trouble GSP with elite wrestling and that ability to kill in one punch. That's what I wanna see next up for GSP.

TBH I think GSP handles Hendricks with ease.

As for GSP Vs Silva.. I'm not really a fan of that 'super fight'. Id much rather Silva Vs Jones.

Id wanna see GSP Vs Diaz the most as his next fight. I should say though I like Hendricks and think he probably deserves the shot next, but I see GSP handling him quite comfortably.

anyone else think Condit's stock has actually gone up since this loss??

he was f**king OUTSTANDING imo... even though he lost...

shows you how good GSP is though... he was just too good with his top control... great with his striking... certainly not boring this time.

Mark my words though... Carlos Condit will be undisputed welterweight champion at some stage... hes a f**king killer.

IMO we need to see BJ Penn vs Carlos Condit...

I don't want to see BJ at WW ever again.
BJ is fine at WW... certainly not as good as when he's at LW... but he's still in the top echelon of WW's.

having said that i feel Rory McDonald is gonna hump him to death in a couple of weeks.

i just wish BJ would be a bit more offensive off of his back... like Condit is...

I think Rory will do a job on BJ. And as mentioned above, I really don't like seeing BJ fight at WW, same as Diego Sanchez, they should be LW.

Condit I think if he got a shot at GSP again would be more aggressive in moving forward and throwing combos. Definitely don't think it'll be log before he fights for the title again.

Yup, BJ needs to go back down to LW and train with Marv Marinovich again. He looked amazing with him... got rid of him then lost two in a row.
