Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

The team needs time to gel a lot has changed and there is serious issues with the decision making with ball playing.

That being said - if he can't get them playing fluent attacking footy this year, he never will.

It cant be just coaching. It just cant be. Successive coaches, teams etc over the years go to Brookie and get beaten. It's somehow pre determined in the woodwork at both clubs. Seriously (very seriously) Id forfeit it. Tell the players nah sorry lads you cant win there. Have the week off. Pay the fuggin fine and concentrate of the next game.

I haven't been so sold on the idea of sacking Flanno but tonight performance has certainly pushed me further to thinking he's not the man for the job.

When the old bash and barge technique doesn't work there isnt a plan B. They boys were so flat tonight I couldn't belive this was the same team that tore St George apart last week. Or the same team that got to within two wins of a GF last year, but now with the addition of two real halves. So so disappointed

Flange doesn't have the guts to make big calls and naming a back on the bench for me is f**king pointless. He can't coach the team quite clearly and it's a shame cos Flanno's heart is in it, no question about it. But he's a shit coach.

Someone get Ivan Cleary on the blower before its too late and he goes back to NZ, we need a coach with direction.

Sorry Flanno it's time to go

And yet bird gets concussed and in slots Beale

I give up. I'm in the Quigs camp of "the joint is cursed". I don't think it would matter who's coach.

^^^ This. Im gunna go and bury a snake under Brookie in the off season. Maybe get a voodoo doll. What did John Safran do to break the Socceroos Curse? I'm sure he saw a witch Dr. Maybe we try that. BBB was talking about getting hold of an Elder to help us out. Honestly, this is spirit shit now. 33 losses from 39 attempts! There has to be an investigation...

What did Beale do? He just never looks like breaking a tackle, let alone scoring.

'spose he fits right in with us.

If you are going to have a back on the bench, he needs to be a game-breaker. Beale will never be that man. Can't break a tackle, let alone a game.

Did he, I can't remember that...maybe it's just my preconceived ideas on him. Just can't get enthused about him - suppose he's no different to any Sharks centre since ET - we even turn good ones to shit (e.g. Nigel Vagina).

Get him off the bench & partnered with Val. That's 1 thing that worked last year in the backs (about the only thing) & it's been disassembled.

I think Leutele has been improving but if Bird's fit, swap him out.

I'd say he'll be in the team next week
Bird won't be allowed to play
Beale dislocated his finger in his first tackle last night.
That's got to put you off your game.

I thought Leutele was pretty bad last night. Feki wasnt much better and im a Feki fan. All their attack was aimed at Leutele and Feki. Loots shot out of the line in defence plenty of times leaving Feki on his own and out numbered.
Feki had some strong runs out of DH but other than that he offered nothing.

The back line just breaks down, and when they find the fullback its the same play over and over.

And circling back to the name of the thread, that's what coaches are supposed to sort out. I'm sure Flanno is a lovely bloke, but I'll be happy once we're done with the master and apprentice era.

Flanno and his side will always embrace the grind and beat those who don't but he will never win a competition or take his team into the top 3 or 4 teams in the comp.

In this game the Flange was out manouvered by a rookie coach.
If you heard Flange's comments at half time, all he wanted was for the team to keep things tight. Anyone could see that Manly were playing an expansive game and getting on top in the first half, and continued to in the second half.
There were no changes to our plan and Manly knew it and kept playing their game.
Does Flange have it in him to change a game plan during the course of a match if his tactics aren't working?
