I guess Bennett and Bellamy don't count as super coaches?
Or maybe those results just don't fit your pro flanno stance?

These 3 were mentioned in particular .

Bennett and Bellamy were not part of the comment leading up to it.
Have a look.
You're welcome .

Yes he did .
Got there after his SOO halves pulled one out of the fire.

Doesn't mean Flano deserves to be sacked for his actual coaching efforts of late.
No again because the he stain he put on our club and the players.

Please understand the argument.

He does not deserve to be here. Full Stop. Period.

Furthermore we play crap footy. But the above is the point.

Understand this

Did any of you vote for the board?
If you were either too lazy to, or just not around then bad f**king luck.

The board were voted in on the back of a promise to resign Flano.
Blame the fans
Blame yourselves

Not a lot of love for Flanno atm, understandably.

It's the same every year this time of year because we are slow starters.

I'll never forget the cutout from the paper someone stuck to my computer a few years back when Canberra towelled us up in rd 1. It was a Flanno quote from the press conference...

"If that's how we played round 1, it looks like we didn't have a preseason".

That's what really bugs me about him, nothing ever changes...we are always slow off the mark. I rate Bellamy best coach in the game because he gets the best out of players - even turns shit players into quality first graders...& always starts the year on fire. Flanno is the opposite

You must've missed eions post 5 before yours, so pay attention.
You're welcome.

You're misreading it
Milk shark bought up those 3 and said they were also better than Flano
I merely pointed out the results between those 3 coaches and Flano from last year .

Had nothing to do with how good Bellamy and Bennett are.
Did you actually think I'd forgotten about them?
C'mon.

Also might I add
I have always said he shouldn't have been resigned.
I am just not dumb enough to think sacking him and everyone of his staff is going to help us win footy games.

And I think he cops a lot of unwarranted blame for assada .
It was a very loose ship at the time and I think he is a bit of a scapegoat because he is the footy coach.

Bennet certainly worked wonders at newcastle

I reckon the plan was:

1. team up with a billionaire
2. buy whoever you want
2. win the comp
4. move back to QLD

The only problem?

The billionaire went bust.

Bottom line - Bennett is a great coach. But even the best coaches need the cattle...

Thinks like club stability and football, medical & admin support (not to mention lack of interference from the front office) also have big roles to play...

Bennett is a good coach, however, he has had some of the best teams. That makes life so much easier. Newcastle was his greatest failure which goes to show he has been lucky with great teams.

You mean like St George? Good roster under Brown. Won zip. Bennett takes out the comp. Bennett not a success at Newcastle. So a couple of years later they turn to Brown who couldn't achieve anything with a strong Stains roster. What's changed with Brown? Bit older and coached in the ESL. Straight away Knights look ordinary. Bad move Knights. Doubt Brown's will ever figure in great coach conversations. Supports the Sharks and lived locally. Was worried he might come here.

Fair enough. I am not in the sack everyone immediately brigade, thinking it would immediately
turn us into a premiership outfit. That would be extremely naive.

I am in the please move on from the flanno era when it is financially viable brigade.
I simply do not think he is the coach to take the Sharks to a premiership, so I'm keen to see the club
try to secure a new head coach that may take us to the top prize.

Everything you hear out of the club points towards a new level of professionalism. Assuming that is correct,
I think we can find a better coach that fits this progression. Just my personal opinion of course.
