I still believe there's a case to be made for paying him out early rather than keeping him on till the end. If things don't improve we're looking at less crowds, which equals less food, beer, merch. It probably costs us more in the long run.

That said, I'd probably let him see out the year and make a clean cut during the off season.

If you cant pay him out in one hit change his job title. He would make a good recruiter.

Don't sack him. demote him to development coach and make him the assistant u20s coach. He'd walk. Problem solved no payout...

It's the old Sticky move. Send them to local Comp so they leave before their career ends up in a black hole.

Have it on good authority Nathan brown is going to the club next week
:)

In an official capacity

ET and Mitch Healy are involved

http://www.sharks.com.au/news/2015/05/22/old_rivalries_ignite.html

"Old rivalries will be ignited when former Dragons and Sharks come together at a Men of League Foundation luncheon to be held at Sharkies Leagues Club next Friday.

Sharks legends Andrew Ettingshausen and Mitch Healey, will be joined on stage by ex-Dragon stars Mark Coyne and Nathan Brown in an event timed perfectly to coincide with the first local derby clash of the 2015 season."

Don't think so mate. The only reason he'd walk is if he could get a gig elsewhere. And he's not going to. His career is at rock bottom, he needs the Sharks to be a success to drag him out of it.

I'd bet he'd just sit there in the under 20s collecting his paycheck, then maybe have a crack at the UK after that.

I think he should revert to the free flowing footy of last season, where it was great to watch, sure we got flogged only won 4 games and collected the spoon, but it was so exciting.

I believe Flanno should be gone, but when do you get rid of him, if you wait till off season how does that help recruiting for next year, as Flanno would be signing the players he wants up until then.

If you remove him mid season is going to cause some grief, will it improve the team big time probably not, but we would be 6 months ahead for 2016

Can someone explain to me what NB offers ? He failed at stains - sure he had excuses / reasons --Flanno came into Sharks with plenty excuses /reasons to fail but got to semis with players other clubs rejected . (Like every one I was gobsmacked to see him resigned for 3 years) but I did think he deserved another shot.

NB had success in GB So did SR. Only available coaches with PROVEN ability to stay in touch with NRL changes are Bennet and Bellamy . Anderson looked really good for a couple of years riding on the back of his "one trick pony gameplan" Past it by the time we got him . I don't think Flanno ever had the "time ,-or wearwithall OR cattle that others such as Bennet Bellamy Hasler, "Madge " etc had to show if he is capable .
