Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

The difference is carch doesn't start twenty gazillions threads expressing his love for flanno or blaming flanno for every woe no matter how tenuous on flanno

Also S73's les are so clumsy as to make himself a figure of ridicule

There are plenty of other vocal opponents of flanno who don't resort to constant dishonesty and stick to criticising flannos all too real and numerous faults

As yet no one has answered a credible question carch asks the "sack flanno immediately" crowd

Who is available and willing to replace him immediately and are they an improvement
Twenty gazillions?... Can someone adjust my post count? Surely?

Ah - the sore loser's tale. Resort to this.

Yes - I was first out of the blocks to highlight Dumbo as out of his depth.
Proven correct on every front.

I informed how Lyall instructed Flanno to pick certain players which has been proven correct.

I won't go on.

And no one out there to do better than Flanno??....once again - for the eleventeenth shmillionth time - you have no firking idea.

Is he actually trying to associate Gordon's dummy spit at not playing fullback with his claim
that lyall picked Holmes to play in the team weeks prior?

After speaking at length with a former club legend, and someone who has intimately viewed his coaching style and methods, my answer to the original question is YES.

Someone asked how could it be known if brown was better than Flano.

Browns NRL win rate is 52% (and if you count SL, 55%). Flanos is 43%.

Since his time in the NRL brown has won 2 premierships in super league. Raper won a challenge cup, no premierships.

Flanagan has won nothing and I don't ever see that changing.

I get the stats but do we take into account the extra baggage coaching this club brings?
Brown had a bloody good squad at the dragons ... He ended slapping players in front of the TV cameras .
Has he coached a team while the club is financially on its knees?
Has he had to coach a team under the most negative media scrutiny in living history?

Personally, I don't rate Flanagan and agree with all of Frank's points. However, it is all moot right now as there is no way the club can get rid of him with 2 and a half years to go on the contract. Carch is right that sacking the coach mid season is not going to happen.

The board was criminally negligent in re-signing a suspended coach for 3 years. In the realm of Sharks related f**k ups this is a good one in a bloody hot field. Keogh really should be accountable for that decision that is a noose around the neck of the club.

The on field prospects are not great. Keep Flanagan and get more of the same. Punt him and add a million to the debt. Either are not pleasant outcomes. Such is life for a Sharks supporter.

Considering he inherited a team from sticky who most felchers on here rate poorly he did pretty well to get us competitive in the finals in his second season.

Speaking of how's brad Arthur doing ?

Hypothetically,if somehow we make the 8 ,and win the first semi:sarcasm:,do we maintain the rage'Anyone still want to sack Flanno?" .
ATM Flanno looks like Einstein compared to Brad Arthur.;-) And a pale imitation of Des Hassler.

Me! I will wait to years end and either want to skewer Flanno or worship every move he takes.
ITM I will spend my year getting the highs and lows following this club. It's Cronullafication riding an out of control roller coaster.

Long time ago now - look at his results since then. Flanno's 70 mins quote beats that by a mile. If tried to slap a player on the side line, he would probally miss and hit himself

Spot on.
Either a saviour arrives on the doorstep and has one million to spare to let the team start again, or we live as the Sharks supporters we always have been.

Same time frame as flano in the job at the time.
Imagine how brownie would've handled our club if a little thing like players not following instructions made him lose it?

Getting brown here may not change a thing results wise.

If we were a club full of stars at their peak with no off field dramas I reckon I could look good coaching.

Brown was coaching his team mates. He should never have been the dragons coach as soon as he was. Proved himself a very good coach in England. The same thing Robinson and Maguire did.

doesn't mean much to our team though.

Anderson won an NRL comp
Jack Gibson won a few comps
Raper was some sort of good coach in the weak Pom comp

None of them got us anywhere that flano hasn't .

I'm pretty certain flanno would have gone OK with inglis the burgess brothers Reynolds in his team too

Let alone robinsons star studded team
