Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

Just saying, people generally rate those two as the top coaches along with Bellamy and Des. He's been just as good in England as those two. Also known for an attacking style which would be a nice change.

Also of course having the calibre of players the roosters and bunnies have would make flanno look better but lets not just sit back and continue with his shitty coaching because we don't have a stacked team.

Long time ago now - look at his results since then. Flanno's 70 mins quote beats that by a mile. If tried to slap a player on the side line, he would probally miss and hit himself

I agree with that. Brown will have matured a lot as a person and a coach since those first couple of years. Remember he was coaching a team that he mostly played with. Can't imagine it was an easy transition going from co-player to rookie NRL coach, and getting the player respect a coach deserves/needs to be able to lead and be successful.

I'd definitely take Brown over Flange, as something needs to change ASAP. We've been in much worse financial positions, what's another million?! Tweak the style of play, get some more wins, get some crowds back. Hell, I might even become a paying member again. Maybe even Quigs will come back!? Plus it might finally shut S73 up about it! ;-) The sky's the limit!

I'm pretty certain flanno would have gone OK with inglis the burgess brothers Reynolds in his team too

Let alone robinsons star studded team

I'm not convinced. I'm pretty sure Flanno would dumb it right down for them and remove all spark and attacking flair from the side. At least he'd teach them to play the full 70 though (that's right, that's a Flannoism, not something Maguire or Robinson said).

And anyway, there's no way any of those cattle sign for us, which means we have to do better with the (lower) standard of players we have. Can Flanno do that? History tells me no... Ding! Times up, bye bye flange! If he's good some other NRL club will pick him up straight away... :sarcasm:

Probably only Gal, Tupou, Graham & Robson pre-Flanno.

Yeah but since he's been in charge these fellas have all been re-signed.

Point being, when people bring other coaches and rosters into the equation I say to myself, Flanno has made this squad as his own. He lives and dies as a coach by his own choices. He has established this squad to play his way of footy and if it doesn't work he pays the consequence.
And I dont want to hear that the Sharks are at a disadvantage because of brown paper bags and the like, if we are to be competitive on the field we have to be just as competitive off the field.

So, in summary - after four and half gazillions posts - if money was no option and there was somebody better, everybody is happy to see his arse out the door.

So we just need the money.

Yes Flanno has been there long enough to own the squad.

Only 2 he didn't sign are Ennis & M Brown because he was suspended from contact with the club then, so with his exemplary record for following the rules, would've had nothing to do with their signings. ;-)

But it is, that's why he has way less support staff, shittier facilities and had to tile the gym himself.

Undoubtedly.

Story in today's paper.... Lost in the media story of Parras cap overspend was the Rorts for the same thing.

Not as big as Parras but also not highlighted as much by the Rorts friendly media.
The story revealed the recruitment guy at the forefront of this is Peter O'Sullivan.

This guy was at storm in 2010 when similar things happened.

How is the guy still in the industry in the same role committing the same errors??!

And why would any team be interested in him after 2010?

Well, one team was....

Frenzy.

Apart from our best player Ennis. Pissflap was suspended when Ennis signed. Surely there were no dodgy dealings? Pissflap wasn't allowed to have anything to do with the team at that point

Maybe M.Brown too?
So he's assembled this squad, except for our best player this season.
I'd say "interesting" but I really wouldnt mean it.

Political corruption, war in the Middle East and Sharks drama. Put that in your fictional news item and it will stand the test of time.
