Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

That performance does have me worried.

Had all the smackings of a lost dressing room. Will be very interesting to see how we turn up against the Roosters. Dudes can have the odd bad game, but flanno should absolutely have the shites with Barba in particular. It was a heartless, gormless display and he has to be dropped. If nothing else than to demonstrate it is not OK to run scared and show no urgency in any part of the game - those play the balls reeeally pizzed me off.

Fifita (A) needs a fuggen rocket too. I'd stick him on the bench if his bro and Taga weren't fuggen useless...

Desperately need Gal back to fire up and start bashing bloke, preferrably in our own team.

Buzz's live blog today had many Shark fans asking when is Flanno getting sacked, Buzz said he should stay the rest of the season

Of course Buzz would say that, they are think as thieves.

Not being smart just wondering why was he given another 3 years after all the drama that's happened recently?

The way I see it.

There were a heap of people demanding Flanno be reinstated. Board got elected on a platform of saying that they would do that. Flanno's manager knew the type he was dealing with and put it in papers that Flanno was being sought after, and how popular he is with the players, and the board fell for it hook, line and sinker.

I think they were playing to what the voters wanted.

Should have called their bluff.

Signing him for that long, and it appears without some sort of performance clauses, was stupid.

We should just make him recruitment officer or nsw cup coach, that way we pay him as we are and get someone new in. Don't have to wear the $1m payout in one hit that way.

There are gaps and weak links across the field right now. Until someone orders someone else to delegate someone to fill and fix the failures. We will stay where we are. In the funny pages and the bottom of the ladder.

It's f**kn sad....regardless of how many years I've been through it.

would it make it better if flano or wade said they played shit?

An honest assessment. I would have been happier to hear him say "That performance was absolutely embarrassing. It was embarrassing to the club, the fans, and the sponsors. There are a number of experienced players making rookie mistakes and are simply not performing up to the standard we expect of the club."

Instead we get a 'no idea' and 'the Dragons were clinical'.

The whole blame can't be placed on the coach, but the majority of it should be when it is apparent there is no ramifications for poor performances, and absolutely zero creativity in attack.

I was hanging shit on people just throwing up every name in the book.
At the time they were on a losing streak
Most of the people suggested were unavailable or just outright fantasy when Flanagan was resigned.

Be nice to have Jonathan Thurston in your team too

Thurston would take up a huge slice of the salary cap, to the detriment of other positions.

We still get to spend out $7 mill or whatever it is & I think we have a good roster.

They just aren't coached to win, they are coached not to lose. Often doesn't work.

I agree that the approach is overly conservative and risk averse. The answer isn't to throw the ball around stupidly but to have structures that allow the players to play purposefully using the skills they have.

I think we have a solid squad with some significant shortcomings in key positions. The lack of kicking game was entirely foreseeable and the fact it hasn't been adequately addressed is criminally negligent and is representative of the lack of planning in the joint.

Training at Shark park.

Obviously something to behold.

An aging halfback running plays and looking the part until the weekend when reality hits.

No kicking drills - wait until we get into the game and then whoever feels like kicking it do so - on any tackle.

Dumb and dumber in charge of a boys club that runs the same drills every week in the belief that we will all wake up in 1988 and they are in fashion.

Widdop and benji ran plays to our left yesterday - created an extra man at will and threatened every set. Whereas Dumbo 1 is truly of the belief that whenever we shift it to the left to overweight-Wade we will trouble someone. Fatguts hasn't made a break or try assist since Dank drove into the car park for the first time. Except for James Roberts' try.

Then - if we go to the right we have Bird - who plays off the top of his head. So on opposite sides we have the choice of 'seen it all before Versus no idea what could happen.'

Up the middle we have boring as bat shite repitition and the fifita circus. How the f**k that hasn't been sorted out at training is beyond me. Have him do pushups or laps or whatever - but if he can't get the message bench the idiot.

For the same rot to be trotted out week after week...it must be perfected on the training paddock. They must practice it.

Either that or we're in Groundhog Day.
