Probably has something to do with the fact one event will draw three times as many people as the other and would be one of the blue chip events they would have marketed to potential members and corporates.

Probably his last game on Ch 9, am I right?

Still got me beat how Bulldogs/Penrith was preferred over Manly/Storm. A big stuff up from NRL, Ch 9 and ANZ.
Its his last home game, and many fans had booked accomodation to attend this...they now find its moved a day forward and are screwed

Well done NRL....fkn useless

As an experiment ring a 5 star hotel and book a wedding for 300 guests. In a years time

Tell them you still can't decide between fri and Saturday. And will let them know in 11 months which night you prefer.

And tell them it will be worth 1/2 million profit, I reckon they'd be flexible!

The irony of all of this?

The old ARL would have built and owned the Olympic Stadium had they not had to fight the Super League war - against the likes of Canterbury.

As much as I want my beloved RL to always win out against the Victorian code, part of me wants each Dogs home game moved to accommodate stuff like baton twirling, pidgeon racing clubs and lawn darts.

Blue chip event? What? A club game of Victorian rules?

How can they market it when they hadnt released the draw?

Im sick of every AFL game being something massive that everything else should offer their firstborn to!

Fumbleball will be lucky to get over 40k now that it'll be up against 30k at the SFS (all ours, possibly witnessing us winning our first silverware since 1989).

Tigers v Souths on Friday Night. Marshall's 200th NRL match and last home game for Wests Tigers. It's a promo gold mine for Channel 9. For those stuck watching on TV, I feel for you...because we all know it will be the Marshall story, and of course that flick pass from 2005.

Anyone saying the AFL is gonna get 60K is kidding themselves. Seriously how the hell can anyone possibly come up with that ridiculous assumption.

The Swans will be lucky to get 40K - grand final rematch or not. 45K max if they are lucky.

Wow - I'm far from an AFL fan but you are absolutely wrong about this.

Less than 50k I would be absolutely stunned. 60 is probably about right.

Lets hope a bumper crowd turns up for the Tigers and Souths.

There is no reason why we can't get 30k. Souths fans should he jumping at the opportunity to see their minor premiership-bound team play in the local area.
