As much as some of the calls against us were BS, the roosters got a couple roughies too, the refs could have easily blown 1/2 the penalties they really needed to.

Dugan so much heart.

McGroan needed to step up after Widdop went off, at the very least take control of the 5th tackle. McInnes was a passenger in attack, it was a great opportunity for him to step up too. Nene made some blunders but he scored a crucial try breaking 4 tackles so hats off to him.

We had them on the ropes in the first half and really applied pressure well. If Widdop stays on for the 2nd, it's a different game.

Thompson, Frizzel put in some good work.

I feel as though the refs were too whistle happy today and it hurt the flow of the game. Some dud calls went both ways but mitchel puss should have been binned for a late knee slide that could have caused injury.

I thought also that Mcinne's played his worst game since joining the club,proud of the team and noone can deny we are premiership contenders.

This is an observation, but what is it about the half time siren that makes us turn into a different team. Dragons always start with dynamite energy and power, and after a few minutes, as a fan, you wonder why you were even nervous. However there have been a few second half performances where we start without the same confidence. Obviously Widdop missing was part of that today by it was even more evident last week. What's this about??

Have to be proud. You can't shit on McCrone after what was almost 2 perfect kicks in extra time. His first bomb should've had a much better chase than what it did. The second kick in a different universe stays in and we win the game.

Furthermore after almost beating the Roosters without Widdop for most of the game (Also lost Dugan for a good while), in my opinion this makes us look even more legitimate than we did before.

With a full strength squad we WILL make a deep run into the finals.

I don't think you can glean much about individual performances.

We lost our organiser for half the match, lost our fullback for 15 minutes, shuffled the backline to all hell and still managed to force OT.

Show me another team that would perform better given those conditions.

The boys did do us proud , tough match , but we certainly put up a hell of a fight . And that is what good teams do , I believe that we joined them after today's performance .

It is great to see all of the positive after-match comments by everyone , although we lost the game , the team has undoubtedly won over the fans . No competition points today , but the Dragons have won plenty of respect .

Its because Packer and Voughn are off and i think Merry brings them back on too late.

The boys did us proud and until Widdop went off, I was confident in a win. However, we seem to run out of steam and go back to the one off running through the middle in each of our last two games. I think this power game causes the boys to be very tired by half time.

Yep totally agree....loss was disappointing.....but we really took it to them early and as you say with our full outfit we will be up there come round 26

'Twasnt the penalties nor the loss of Widdop that lost it for us. We dropped in intensity, big time. Similar to last week against Cowboys - in fact, second half drop off has been a common theme in our run of 5, it's just that our first half is so damn good that it covers for it. Until now.

Still, not particularly discouraged about today. Keen to see how we bounce back.

Cant agree with we were found out big time...we lost our captain and chief playmaker and got nutted in golden point....yes at times our attack looked stagnant but we hung in there.....sorry mate but watch the replay when your sober

We should have smoked them in the first half when we were on top and had our chances. Losing Widdop & Dugan badly exposed our creativity and cruelled our chances which is where I see we lost the game. Gutsy effort and really proud of them.
