Let's hope Price is just getting Jennings hopes up and makes a late change. Thompson to the centres with JDB coming into the starting side, or bench.

I'm more concerned about their forwards (particularly JWH) tearing us a new arsehole up the middle. We allow them to get a roll on we'll lose 20+.

I'd much prefer to have Thompson in the centres but just for this game. I'd rather we not move him for an extended period of time to a position we already have a lot of depth in.

But like a few people have mentioned here, the real issue is the battle of the forwards - however I don't think the Roosters have adapted to the speed of the game as well as some other teams (ie Souths) so that could work in our favour.

Agreed. They've been a bit flat so far this year but we'll be going up against their full pack (no injuries or suspensions) I'm guessing they'll kick up the intensity for this game so I hope we go out firing too.. I cant face a landslide like last years Anzac game

It's time for our pack to stand up against one of better forward packs in the comp. If it's one way traffic up the middle again, like the Broncos and Rabbits game, we'll lose by 20 for sure.

If it's another disaster, then Price and Doust will have no choice but to find forwards. The calls for Sims and Proctor will get louder.

I think there will be a change or 2 but probably not the ones needed. I think its important we get into the grind in the 1st 20mins as we won't lose anything off our interchange bench and the roosters will lose a lot in JWH

My team

1 Josh Dugan
2 Brett Morris
3 Joel Thompson
4 Gerard Beale
5 Jason Nightingale
6 Gareth Widdop
7 Michael Witt
8 Tyson Frizell
9 Mitch Rein
10 Mike Cooper
11 Jack De Belin
12 Ben Creagh (c)
13 Trent Merrin

Interchange
14 Bronson Harrison
15 Jack Stockwell
16 Garvey
17 Leeson Ah Mau

Based on this team, Thompson is going to have a huge game...

Have the dragons become part of the NRL cloning program? Or are we just using one of those 3D printers.

The hard part with Harrison is I think he played OK against the Warriors - so pretty strong runs for the short time he was on. JDB should be there instead though.

And funnily enough, Greens stats are on par with Beales from the last game.

Harrison is actually a good edge defender and runs decent lines, his issue is laziness/fitness, he just seems to fade out of games. When he comes off the bench, he brings a good amount of energy, but hes not a battering ram, he's jot being used properly.

And while their stats for 1 game may be comparable, keep in mind that was a very quiet game for Beale, and an uncharacteristically mistake-free game for Green.

Yep agree with the Harrison comments.

Look, with Green, I see the issues there. But as you said, he really did nothing wrong against the Warriors - actually, he did a couple of good things during the game. It's difficult because outside of putting Thompson in the centers (which I don't think is the right move for this game), we have 3 other options which all have their issues. Green probably has the most experience in FG and going by his last game, he's worth another go. I'm not confident with the choice, but I wouldn't be confident with any of the choices.
