I told you it wasn't great, but here it is. I'll keep tinkering with it up until full time, but any additional feedback/help would be greatly appreciated.

Me And Mr. Jones (716 words between the stars and including those in text messages)
We've got a thing going on.
We both know that it's wrong,
but it's much too strong

Dear Diary,
You can keep a secret, right? I have a confession to make. But you have to promise not to tell, okay? If my wife was to find out, shed kill me.
Okay, here goes: Im having an affair.
There, I said it. Wow, that was liberating!
I mean, dont get me wrong, I love my wife, but my other affair
well, hes a dream boat!
And hes finally noticed me! We went ten pin bowling together. It was such a magical night!
Im convinced that hes the one for me. For starters, we both like league, and we both love the number 7. We even share the same birthday! Im sure this must make us soul mates.
I cant wait to see him again. He even sent me a text when I suggested the time and place!
This is meant to be I just
know it!
We've gotta be extra careful
That we don't build our hopes up too high.
'Cause he's got his own obligations

Dear Diary,
Our date is still two days away, and Im already getting goose bumps! The mere thought of having his undivided attention without our wives distracting us makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I feel like a schoolgirl again! (I mean
for the first time
)
I wonder what the conversation will revolve around?
If hes a history buff, we could talk about that other little general, Napoleon Bonaparte.
If he likes travel, we could talk about his time in Perpignan, southern France, while playing for the Les Catalans Dragons.
Or maybe well just share manly stories about catching the big one off the shore from his Northland bach.
And if that all fails, I can just let slip in conversation that we share the same birthday. Thats sure to win him over!
We've got a thing going on.
We both know that it's wrong,
but it's much too strong

Dear Diary,
Its over! Oh, Diary, he stood me up. Ive been jilted!
I dressed up really nice I showered and even considered brushing my teeth and went early to find him, but he had made other plans. Something about being a runner for the NYC under 20s match?
Apparently Im not the most important thing in his life all of a sudden!
My eyes are red from all of the tears. I just dont know what to do
He sent me a text to say sorry, but Im not convinced. I mean, if he was
really sorry, hed tell me face to face, right?
Oh, how my heart doth break!
Well it's time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much - it hurts so much inside.

Dear Diary,
Ive had a bit of a rethink. I mean, its possible that I misunderstood his politeness and approachability as something more than they really were.
And perhaps I havent been completely truthful.
Take the ten pin bowling, for example. That wasnt really a date per say; it was more of a fan event with more than a hundred fans.
And we were organising via text message to meet up for an interview nothing more, nothing less.
It seems, Diary, that I have erred on the side of foolishness and given my heart to someone that had no need for it. Unrequited love? More like fanaticism gone wrong.
So maybe just maybe I should ditch the romance idea and stick to being a fan.
If nothing else, I think thatd make it easier for my wife
We're gonna talk it over, talk it over
