Hey Jess what or where is Northland bach? Shut up Titanic ... I found it and looks like a good place to have a small relex.

That's a good point, though, Titanic. Bach is a very New Zealand word - I thought it was Australasian but dictionary.com insists otherwise. It's a home used primarily for holidays, (as opposed to a holiday home which is a caravan), and Northland is a region in the upper North Island of New Zealand.

I figured I'd be able to get away with the word bach, seeing as we're the ANZACs, but I don't want to cost our side points if it's a term that The Colonel hasn't heard before.

Mate I think you're safe - The Colonel's a good ref and if he isn't reading your posting he'd be looking it up.

Sounds great though - a little like the Gold Coast and Northern NSW when I was a kid ... for all those who said "that must have been a long time ago" are sadly correct.

I count GB&I leading the article count 4 to 2, but I trust Willow to pull a Blue out of the 'bag and get all five articles in, as per Newtown tradition... :D

I have it as currently 5-4 in GB&I's favour, but Willow is confident, so bring us home, Cap'n! :D

The good thing about playing with a great player is when your backs are to the wall and you've been defending your own line relentlessly, when you pass them the ball you can just sit back and know they will run the length of the field and go under the posts ... give it to 'em Willow!!!!

I nearly pooed myself before. I had a last minute read of my piece and had to make an edit, which I did at 8:58pm, then hit save ... and it still showed my article as the last one. Luckily I hit refresh before I called the emergency services!

Sorry for being a bit quiet in this thread, busy as a pretty little bee over here.

Still, no worries. Some top posts from the ANZACs - great stuff to be part of.

Wouldn't be dead for quids - thanks for the experience everybody.

Just spoke to 30 Sichuan refugees who are visiting us in Nanjing for a week as some small reward for their efforts in rescuing other kids during the earthquake ... these are some tough little vegemites who have all had to overcome personal tragedy and re-focus their adolescent lives ... what is their view? "wouldn't be dead for quids"

So were mine although my dad was Orange Slice and my mum Iced Vo-Vo but my cousins were pure Peanut Crunch (especially when we played backyard tackle).

Thanks for the game everybody ... I apologise for my crappy typo stating that the inaugural Northern Union meeting was 1985 when of course it was 1895 ... could have cost us dearly.

Great work team.

Very high scoring match... and bloody well done to Amadean on getting the top notch score.

'Fanks Willow, getting POTM after a match of that caliber is a hell on an honour.

I really can't take all the credit though - if tits&tans wasn't such a big girl's blouse I could never have been inspired to such mundane heights.

Great game ANZACs, brilliant writing by all.

Congrats ANZACS! Excellent game..

Nice work Amadean .. I'm glad I could help. Any inspiration I inadvertently created with my frilly tops will, of course, need to be paid for at our next Titans training session :)

Well done, fellow ANZACs! Such a high scoring match - Willow does this go anywhere near the record? 898 seems like a whole lot of marks!

I'm particularly happy with my own mark - I guess it turned out to be more of a hit than I expected.

Amadean, well done on the POTM!

Now, where's the celebratory beer?
