Are we playing finals in 2021?

Apparently Proctor still in some doubt with a shoulder injury. If only we had Fitz in the side to run at Proctor for 80 minutes and give him a proper working over.

The answer is YES!

What do we do in the last round? Are we resting players? Good chance to give some game time to those who haven't had much footy this year?

I'll call it now and say Ponga won't play next week. We need as many top line players fit and fresh for week 1 of finals!

We are the Stephen Bradbury of the NRL... With 5 games to go, you watch them all fall down and crumble as we march on to hoisting the Provan Summons trophy.

That's actually a big win. Means we don't need to rely on next week and can rest players. I think we can knock off the Eels the way they're travelling.

I’m torn between whether we would benefit more from resting some key players and probably sacrificing the Broncos game or just playing our full team and going for the win and hopefully getting into the finals on the back of 6 consecutive wins.

Given how much work our attack needs I feel like having an extra game with no pressure would give us a chance to play some more open attacking footy so I’m probably leaning towards naming our strongest 17 and trying to play ourselves into some form.

I also thought about this.

AOB made an "excuse" tonight saying we didn't get much time with the footy on a 5-day turnaround and that's why the attack still isn't good.

I think we do benefit from giving the guys a bit of a break and plenty of time with the ball. Give our reserves some game time so we know they're ready when and if called upon.

Also takes the pressure off if we do lose to the Broncos it doesn't dent the confidence too much.

I'd be looking to rest Ponga, Clifford, Pearce, Brailey and maybe Barnett. Klemmer and Daifiti will have had a break. Frizell just had a week off.

If Dan is ok why not give him extra week rest, Klem back gives us better props, not sure who we need to rest if injury free.
My selection is same team with a few changes, Klem for Sue who shifts to 13, Watson to bench, Randall or Momoiseas drop out of bench
Problem, Mann what do we do, keep him, Hunt to centre Toa wing, Sasagi centre
Me thinks stick with Mann, experience invaluable, it will worry me greatly.

Sisagi or To'a surely deserves a go at centre next week in place of Mann. I don't care if AOB calls it a rest for Mann, it just needs to happen.

No way Mann won’t be centre for finals week 1. He has been there for our winning streak and AOB thinks he is our best option at the moment. We don’t like it, but that’s how it is.

As garbage as we have been 5 wins, 7 losses at the halfway point leaves us well in the frame for finals because the comp is full of suck from 6th-16th

Warriors (home)
Cowboys (home)
Raiders (home)
Broncos (home)
Sharks (away)
Bulldogs (away)
Titans (home)

Broncos (away)

Pretty amazing they didn't cock this up.

Knights socials had a post saying this is the first time since '02 and '03 that we've made the finals back-to-back.

All things considered this is really great. I know this was probably the expectation and perhaps we should be better than we are, but still there's half the comp wishing they were in our position at least.
