Don't worry he knows he shouldn't have said anything but was goaded to breaking point.
Rookie mistake that Rothfield will forever be to blame for.

The standing down of those blokes was what he believed to be the right thing to do.
He said he was out of options.

At the time it looked dire.
Can anyone blame him?
That bloody press conference was unprecedented in aus sporting history.

The standing down was the right thing.

the whole time.

Yeah I can

He was in charge
The two options is that not even the club doctor communicated such a threatening event to the board such was the dysfunction
Or like everyone else he knew and hid from it like he did when he flew overseas and hid when the Shyt hit the fan

As for blaming a Journo because he decided to leak " horse drugs" to the press give us a break

If the players aren't the ultimate target of asada, and tht may well be the case, an investigation into who knew what may make very ugly reading

he was the president

there was no ceo.

so.in short, he was the boss. amd it all happened under him.

it stands to reason he will be in the firing line if the club starts getting sued.

Flanagan and Elkin and Dank will.

Anyway - the players have admitted to doping. Thats a black mark on their character. Hard to believe 17 blokes knowingly cheated by taking horse drugs, the NRL has already sanctioned Cronulla for negligence in the workplace...........

Geez - will any of them try to blame the club and sue for damages? 17 blokes. Could be a lot of coin.

That's the next big question.

They will be the winners in all of this mate.

Scourge on society and they never, ever lose, no matter which it goes.

Having said that, I know Richard Redman well. Great bloke.

I can't find the article anymore, they all seem to have changed since the acceptance, however it mentioned that ASADA would use this "admission" as a way of going after the coaches.

Let this be clarified ASADA did not give them nor the NRL an infraction notice, they offered them a 3 week suspension instead.

So in the wash all ASADA had was $$$$$ and time that would have crippled the club, if there was hard evidence the players would have been long gone.

But how does Flanno seem to walk back into club before the players and move forward that i believe is totally wrong.

The Sharks are not the first club to have players linked to well this were not banned but unapproved performance material, and we wont be the last, but the way it was handled from ASADA at the start and us as well was shocking, the media coverage was bias and without fact, Lance Armstrong and Ben Johnson actually got a better chance of air time to defend themselves then did the Sharks

To get a suspension, surely there has to be an infraction.

In regards to the lawyers, yes the players names are tarnished but the big killer for us would be the loss of income if suspended for a year or 2.

I reckon the 3 week bans will only cost 2 guys & - Gal & Smith, due to no rep $.

The rest will get paid for the 3 weeks missed & they can still earn a contract next year.

It won't be as bad as some are making out.

There is no infractions nothing reported is a infraction they were offered a suspension but no infraction was levied

So, you see this as a win fro the club and the players?

The suspensions are irrelevant.

The players are admitted cheats. They will claim it was unwittingly.

They will sue the club.

The club will likely fold.

Yay for you guys. What a great day to be a Sharks fan.
