The Club built this season up. They released that 'Moment' clip to launch the season that made all fans believe that this could be the year.
Now we are being told by Gus after 9 rounds that we are too young this season.
We weren't too young last season. Have most of the same squad too added with marque signing of Tamou we should be further improving
Whether we slightly overachieved last year our performances this year are massively underachieving.
I am so sick of excuses.
IMO it's a deliberate ploy to minimise the broader exposure of the answers to the obvious questions that would be coming given our current performance.
Speak in a public forum and the media will be all over them and they'll be widely reported. Answer them in a private email, maybe a few responses leak out from a couple of members who frequent places like this, twitter etc but most of them will never see the light of day.
So you thought that a forum would supply the answer to the problems and the squad would magically start winning games again. Well I guess if that doesn't work we can start another thread calling for the board to take action. And when that doesn't work we can start another thread calling on the NRL to sack the board...
Sorry people, nobody is happy about the results but there is not going to be a magic fix. I wish there was. But this isn't a fairy tale.
Tom.
Said 80% were about team performance, so he spoke about that... the other 20% were probably about sacking Griffin so he left that out...The club is claiming on twitter then Gus ripped up the questions "theatrically" in order to show he was going off script.
Even if that's true it's still poor form. Those people submitted the questions to be answered in a public forum, not later by email (which is happening). It would've given insight into what fans were thinking.
We didnt think the club would lie to us about answering questions. How can you be ok with the club treating its fans in that manner? So you thought that a forum would supply the answer to the problems and the squad would magically start winning games again. Since you will ask where the club lied... its right here:
They were never going to answer the tough questions anyway... but to just tear them ALL? Thats about the worst possible thing he could have done.
Responding to a few later by email is not what the club promised us. But then nothing this season has been what they promised.

Well, actually I heard that he spoke about having offered Hariwira (spelling?) a contract and hoped that he would be stay, that he was elusive when speaking about TMM and that he said the team had a bad attitude when things went wrong. That they tended to put their heads down, tried to rush and/or force plays instead of knuckling down and sticking to the game plan. So it appears as though it wasn't just ripping up some paper and not answering questions.
He might not have given the answers to all the questions or the answers that some expected, but again, what did people expect? Gus to come out and wave a magic wand around? I still think people had too big an expectation if they thought that a forum was a magic fix.

I'm the same , very long time supporter and occasional season ticket holder. I cant remember being this disappointed in the in the team and squad as a whole, for a very long time.... (maybe the early 80's).I am fast losing interest in this club and RL as a whole.
