Cowan scored a hundred yesterday.

Can't beleive the yare persisting with Smith. One of the worst players to ever wear a baggy green. Has plenty of time to improve though.

Smith is about the best middle order bat under 35 going around at the moment. Sad but true.

Warner and Wade pick themselves. Cutting is going great guns so no probs there, Pattinson is seen as a future test bowler (but I think he needs to improve before that can be seriously considered), Starc? he's not even in NSW's top 4 quicks, and Hilf whilst he's going ok the fact he's here is much much much to close to the return of the Johnson, Siddle, Hilfenhaus attack we have nightmares over. Guys like Butterworth, Marsh and most glaringly Copeland should consider themselves stiffed.

Maddinson is in dire form, but there aren't any other serious opening options.

The middle order of Cowan, Bailey and Cooper are all confirmed shit, but the depressing fact is that no one else in the country could consider themselves hard done by except and ridiculously Ben Rohrer. Just dire the lack of talent around. Lynn might have got a go, but he's started the season awfully.

Beer is just a running joke that stopped being funny before the first telling. SOK (obviously), Maxwell, and Boyce are all easily better options. Should have been left in SA so Copes could come home for the game and then sent back to his grade club where he belongs.

No O'Keefe = selectors have no credibility or idea about cricket.

Team is trash

Bailey has done nothing this year apart from a century yesterday against a nuffy Redback attack. Same with Cowan

O'Keefe should be in the side over Beer

Cooper was only picked to have someone representing the Redbacks

Cuttling, Hilfy and Smith are trash

Peter George was extremely unlucky to miss this squad..He carries the SA attack in virtually every game,on flat Adelaide decks half the time..

As yappy said, can't believe we are bothering to rush Beer home for this match but not Copeland. Crazy.

While the team doesn't look impressive. There's not many options around. Besides Warner (77) as of Sunday no one was over 50. Beside Cooper when was the last 200 in shield cricket?? They are hardly banging on the door for selection. That's the problem no depth or in-form anyway.

His name is Cutting, not "Cuttling" and he is the best bowler in the country not in the current test team. You obviously are talking out of your hat if you think he shouldn't be in this Australia A Squad. He is the best bowler of those named in this squad period.

Compared to the lack of talent in Australian cricket at the moment, Steve Smith, as terrible as it is to say this, probably deserves his place in that squad. Our middle order is weak. Ben Hilfenhaus should have been replaced by Copeland, and Copeland should be back in Australia now that there are no more matches for him to play in South Africa.

Not quite sure what the selectors see in Michael BEER when compared with O'Keefe.
