I actually quite agree with the setiment of the article that skeepe posted. Of all of last year's Idols, I have only bought one of their cd's (Levi's single) and dont really like any of the stuff they have put out. it seems Idol has quite a stranglehold over the Aussie music industry though. its quite disheartening to think that Aussie bands out there doing it tough, constantly touring playing gigs, are really just getting nowhere. Seems there are two scenarios - those who get their 15 minutes of fame and make a quick buck and those who struggle, but have longetivity in the industry. Which is better?

Never said that everyone who votes for him is 13, however the majority of that age group will be expalining $500+ phone bills to their parents.

But I do agree with the sentiments of both yours and skeepe's posts. I feel that Idol is a blight on the Music Industry but they are only really out to make a quick buck through record sales and a percentage of the telephone and sms profits....

My sister is quite a talented singer and has won many singing contests herself


she is in no way a 13 yr old


she votes for anthony beause of the same reason i do

he has the all-round package

Anthony's not bad, his version of Hold The Line was quite good. But in my opinion, Ricki-Lee was the only one that deserved to win, and it's a shame that she was voted out.

I reckon the final will be closer than people think, I reckon most of the Courtney fans will vote for Casey in the final, and she'll give Mr. Plastic Fantastic a run for his money.

She relates to people, unlike Anthony who was manufactured from Birt as a so called boy band idol - I bet his family are fuming right at the moment and are far from looking forward to recieving their next bill from Telstra :lol: :lol:
