Australian Team

Interesting that Inglis is captain over Cordner. Both equally good choices but I'd like to see the logic in it.

I wonder if these games will count to Munsters suspension. This has a familiar feel about it.

If you are suspended from NRL games you are usually unavailable for rep selection. as such they should not count if he gets suspended.

As to the captaincy, Cordner went public a few weeks ago saying he';d have no problem if Inglis was captain. Probably a combination of Inglis having greater length of tenure in the Australian squad and a but of possibly a bit of Qld bias (Intentional or otherwise) with Mal being coach.

Inglis has been club captain longer than Cordner. Inglis has far more experience in internationals than Cordner. If Inglis was in the NSW side no way would Cordner be captain over him. A lot of people were calling for Cordner to be dropped from the NSW side before this year's Origin.

Of course Inglis should be captain.

A deliberate kick to the head is just a fine now, Jesus Christ.
Did you ever see the Broncos grub it up when they lost? The likes of Corey Parker, James Roberts and Josh McGuire. They never even got fined $1 for it. I think for what it was the fine is about right. James Tamou had a similar one when Dylan Walker got his back up with the same outcome.

How? You don't think having all those big comeback wins were lucky? Some of the refereeing decisions during the momentum of those late finishes were atrocious. Mansour's try vs the Raiders for eg
Won that game even without the Mansour try. It was 28 points to 5 in the second half of that game. The Raiders were a rabble, which is why they finished 10th despite having a pretty strong attack. If a team comes back from behind once, they might have been lucky or the opposition might have lost their way. When it happens 10 times you are forced to find another explanation.

Every team finished where they deserved. We were robbed against the Bulldogs in round 3 when an obstruction try was allowed and it proved the difference in that game but things even out over a season.

Cordner isn't even club captain now. He's vice captain or in the modern vernacular, co-captain.

I noticed both Friend and Cordner in Sutton's face at one stage in the GF when a call went against the Roosters. It made me wonder just how long the NRL will allow this two captains bullshit to continue. I would have sat Cordner down.

You were also very lucky in other situations though. The other game against the Raiders for example. You won by one point after Leilua and Rapana both had to leave the field injured, Leilua in the first minute. We all know how hard it is to cover outside backs in those situations. You just seemed to get lucky over and over again. It will be interesting to see how you go next year with Ciraldo/Gus. I suspect you may have a similar year to 2015.

Anyway DWZ is in for RTS and JFH will probably crack the bench with the other pullouts, so I'm sure you'll be happy.

And things DO NOT always even out over a season.

Greg Inglis to be captain.

Press conference being carried live on Fox Sports News right now. Mal Meninga has said Tedesco will be at fullback. Think he said Keary is a shadow player in case Munster gets suspended.

Makes you wonder how the hell Peachey gets in that squad though.
Jack De Belin was one of the Blues best in the SOO. Baffled he was left out.
