Just read that Lonhro has died… as a kid him and Sunline were my earliest memories of racing.

My mate back then, I think he was about 20ish won a sqillion on him and got lonhro number plates lol.

The owners tracked my mate down and wanted to buy them (he was a dealer in the high rollers room at star city back then, jockeys were in there all the time) Mate told them to piss off, a week or 2 later his car was pinched from the car park at the casino, rammed through the gate and the security guard did not see a thing, nor did the security cameras. I think the car was found burned out, number plates removed it was hilarious

Today was a shambles on multiple tracks though, thank F that Kintyre won most of my lost dosh back. How tough is that thing, seems to enjoy fighting for it…

I missed our ol’ bae Caroline Searcey on Monday, hopefully I can ride for luck and catch a replay through the week.

Something about those posh old ducks. A bit like that Penelope Keith from The Manor Born. The more posh or stuck-up they seem to be, the more I’d like to lob a rope over their bi-focals. Really foul up their foie gras, if you know what I mean.

Maybe that’s why I’ll always watch at least 10-15 minutes of Antique Roadshow if I see it on.

Turnaquid first up today in the last at Kyneton. Big odds at $41 which is about right. Jumped out well but the distance could be a bit short for this tardy starter. Could bob up for a place.
