Their spinner was a bit short of a length I thought. Interesting that he opened the bowling.

Their seamers were far better than ours. Their line was always angling across testing the patience. Could have been a foot fuller but they were at least hitting the wicket rather than bowling along it.

Jeet Raval has an issue just outside off stump. He bats like an old school subcontinent batsman. Gets inside the line a lot and uses the pace. Plays very side on and still. If it does anything he tends to follow it a bit. Needs to either improve his judgment or maybe bat more on middle and off and trust his ability to clip off leg stump. Then he should be able to judge it more comfortably or be more behind the ball in the corridor. He edged a lot before he was dismissed.

Well his drop cost us 200 off Shakib alone. That wicket may have got Wagner on a roll. He looked half asleep on that drop. It wasn't the background, he wasn't concentrating.

As much of some of the spells were dreadful, the fielding was so much worse.

Taylor, Williamson and Latham looked very good. Big hundred in the offing for Latham and frankly Nicholls has got a great chance to get a hundred and save his career. Fairly easy paced wicket here.

Broom may be if he wasn't injured. I think if Guptill is to get another shot number 5 is his go.

How did Mehedi get 19 wickets in 2 tests against the Poms? Obviously different wickets but he's very slow, bowled quite short, haven't really seen drop, minimal turn and I haven't as much as seen an arm ball from him. Very different wicket but they're playing him with ease.

Wow, leading edge goes straight up and bounces 10m from the bat. And they don't lay a hand on it. Nicholls is absolutely clueless. It's a dead pitch and he can't do the basics right.
