Bangladesh in NZ

The other thing to remember is that like Australia we just whitewashed Pakistan at home...

Maybe we just acknowledge the bowlers haven't been good, and this is a great partnership

Nice from Shakib. Out for 217. Walked over and gave Dropner a handshake. Owes him a six pack of Bangers Cascadegers after that dolly of a drop on 5. Dropner will repay the faith with a well compiled 14 though.

The best thing to happen to world cricket over the last ten years has been the improvement of Bangladesh and the rise of Afghanistan. The bangers batting has improved dramatically especially in their 1st innings, they do still struggle in their second digs which have cost them wins and draws.

They are now starting to produce decent seamers which needs to be encouraged so that they produce pitches in Bangladesh that aren't just India type spin havens.

This should be a draw in favour of the tigers but don't underestimate their ability to have 2nd innings collapses.

Was that a meltdown Iafeta?

Lovely dramatic stuff

I suppose at least the fans care. Appeared to me that 10 blokes out there didn't. That they expected it to just happen. Neil Wagner had a go. The rest were awful.

They're cricket mad. They have a massive population. And if you compare their introduction to test cricket against say Sri Lanka, NZ and Zimbabwe, they are miles ahead. My only concern for them in this T20 mad world is finance. Bangladesh is a very poor country. Not only to lose players, but the proportion of the population who can afford to invest in their development may be an issue.

It's good to see. Frankly they were very competitive in all the limited overs matches. They probably had a strong chance to win at least 3 of them. Bangladesh kinda fell apart at the last second and if masked a NZ performance which was very sloppy particularly bowling.

Now Sabbirs turn for 100. Latham just dropped a dolly at mid on off him. Seriously, have they come to this match after a goon bender?

Finally a catch. Hey Tom, Mitch, that's how you take a sitter. I'm sure the Bangers will show you how when you bat.

NZ just mentally haven't shown up here. It appears that they believed it was just a matter of showing up.

In saying that, Bangladesh are playing not to lose. Any decent test side would if declared by now and had the kiwis in a world of hurt.

snafu, Wagner has carried them for 12 months. He had to be 12th man for a long time to the brilliance of Doug Bracewell and Matt Henry. If it wasn't for Wagner helping them close innings, the spotlight would've been on the others well before now.
