Banners of protest

Hi guys,

Just got back from the leagues club where a buch of us had banners of protest.

We have had enough and want to take action. Only a small number of us turned up but it's just the beinning. This will only get louder and stronger. All media has been notified and pictures have been sent.

Link below shows we have made it to Sydney Morning Herald already.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...els-after-promising-start-20140518-zrggg.html

Just the beginning to something big and loud.

Want to say a big thanks to Peter aka copper man for organising this.

Congratulations Redvpassion - fellow dragons ....for DOING SOMETHING really positive!!

Goodonyou.

And you got it just right with the choice of words that is not a personal attack but A CALL TO ACTION!!!

When I am next in Sydney I WILL JOIN IN with my sons in any protest unless there is a change. So please keep bringing it to the forum.

NO-ONE is bigger than the club. And NO-ONE has been listening to the FANS.

Enough of the spin. Enough of the cronyism. Enough inept management and coaching.

We want our footy club back!!!

Best thing to do is get something made and get it ready. Might he next game we play or during the week or whenever. The "call to arms" will come soon. Better to be ready.

It's an honest shame that it had to come to this. we want our club back.

Wish I didn't burn my OUSTDOUST banner. I promised I would when we the comp.

Little did we know we would fall hard and backwards in so little time.

haha, I remember that original Oust Doust banner.

I wish you didn't burn it, but a promise is a promise. And many of us didn't think how badly we'd go since that magical Grand Final win just over 3.5 years ago.

Newbie here. Go easy on me.

Is protest really going to work? I know we have to do something to get rid of Doust & co.

Is it possible to hurt them financially, ie. boycott all games, stop purchasing merchandise, joining red V etc. until they realise we are serious. If the attendance drop to under few thousands or hundreds, I'm sure Corporates sponsorship will start pressuring the board to do something because they're paying big $$ to get their brands/products across to us, and we are not at the games.

We just passed 17,000 Red V members this year. Let's all not sign up for membership next year until Doust is out, get the media on top this and I bet you, sponsorships will be knocking on the door.

What you guys think?

Hey mate, welcome.

I don't think we can hurt them financially especially when doust is selling our soul for the corporate $$$$.

Our membership is at 17,000 as stated, but you need to realize prior to the season starting, that we signed some Good players and also started the season off well. Now im sure many would be asking for a refund of they could and also sure everyone is on the same page as a change needs to happen and happen ASAP from top to bottom.

Something gotta give.

Yes something gotta give. I agree.

If Doust is still the CEO for 2015, we all stop joining red V everything regardless who we sign and how good we are going. We have to sacrifice short term for long term gains. Watch the games at home/pubs but not at kogarah or the Gong. We must stop money going back to the club. Let's see how long the Board will last.

We have been wanting to oust doust for a very long time now, let's do this once and for all. Don't let big signing/winning streak to distract us from this mission.

I think most ppl had a 'false hope' with the signings of new players and the 3 wins in a row to start. But now it's unravelling before our eyes and we look like we've just met 20 minutes earlier in the car park on game day. someone says "what's the game plan" and everyone looks at each other and shrugs shoulders.
Possum posted a suggestion on prop and second rower start/rotation, FFS, this kind of stuff should have been sorted out in December/Jan... We are still nowhere near being a settled side from what I can see, and media focus, poor on field form, fan protests, coaching question mark, would just add to more losses. We are not the 'bunker' type club, like a Manly or Bulldogs, who eat that up.......as Price stated, we are 'soft' under pressure....
I remember 2010......best defence, best......best....best....

Doust is not in charge of training and team selections so why bag him. He has given the coaches the right players to play with, they are clearly not using them right. The roster is top 8 material you can't ask for more.

Apart from the Price issue what else has he done wrong? At the end of the day he was in charge from 2009-2011 when Bennett was in charge and everything was rosy. He brought us our first premiership in 31 years. I just don't think it is soley up to him to sack the coach. It is the board and some people in that board are delaying the obvious.

Our forwards are not top 8 material.
Not in the real world.

Mitch Rein and Dan Hunt aside, there is plenty to work with in our forward pack. As I have posted elsewhere ...

Trent Merrin is one of the most talented forwards in the game. Most forwards would kill for his offloads and footwork.
Frizell is a big man who has proven difficult to pull down with his power.
JDB can hit the line, also has a bit of footwork and an offload.
Joel Thompson has been a fast, aggressive, powerful ball runner throughout his career.
Ah Mau has shown plenty of ability as a strong ballrunner also with surprising footwork for a big man.
Harrison runs good lines, has a good offload.
Creagh is our hardest runner and has the quickest play the balls in the team.
Stockwell and Cooper are both solid props.

Denigrating the quality of the pack is a transparent attempt at deflecting from the simple fact that Steve Price is failing miserably as a coach. These forwards can do the job if managed correctly, with the right plan.

Well said , good point about the DEFENCE ,all the talk of the changes in the game , the fundamentals are the same as always, get your defence right and you win games, the teams with the smallest against tally are always at the top of the points table at the moment there are only 2 teams with more points against ,RAIDERS AND SHARKS hence why we are parked at the bottom 4 ,last 3 games 108 against 20 for , so barring a miracle to win games we are looking at between a 40 to 50 point turnaround per game , way too much to ask of this coach or team.

JDB is not consistent enough, can hit hard with a copybook tackle but the only good game he has played in what is it 10 rouinds was against Souffs when his aggression got him on report, but he ripped in,but nothing since.
AhMau is a fraud,112kg running at the line, when did you see him break the line,or offload, can tell you how many times he coughs up possession .
Harrison may run good lines, but when has he made a bust and offloaded.
Hunt,enough said.
We have been found out,our pack has finally succumbed to the week in week out pounding by more powerfull packs, this was always going to happen. We have been demoralised ,this causes discipline and possession turnover problems, lack of confidence.
