Barba sacked by Cowboys

The NRL has got to stop supporting the idea that players who commit such offences should be given an opportunity to rebuild their lives in the NRL system.

There’s plenty of good kids who don’t get an opportunity in the NRL. Stop giving f**kwits lifelines and start supporting the blokes that deserve it.

Zero tolerance is a must for DV, drugs or assault. No one will complain if a player got sent packing for beating their partner.

Whilst there is certainly going to be exceptions to any rule, If you believe the game has a value to the community, then you simply can’t be seen to support this shit.

100%.

But the NRL insists on being that sport that acts as a rehab centre.

Piss poor, weak leadership is ingrained in the joint unfortunately. It needs people with the strength of character needed to banish players who commit this type of crap, not keep inviting them back.

Very true but I somehow can’t see kids having a ‘let’s move on then, shall we?’ attitude after a suicide. Those who get left behind a farked over. Better he possibly redeems himself to his family away from rugby league

Precisely.
He may have destroyed his career and marriage, doesn’t mean he can’t change and be a decent father.

Every person I know who has killed them selves has left a family in tatters.

Cows looking good here. Dealt with it quickly, beat the press, dodged a bullet
Advantage of being in a regional city, and having a working relationship with the casino. They'd have been allowed to view the video much sooner than would be the case if were a casino in Sydney.

What a dead shit, lmao

Bloke ended up in England due to off field shit here in Australia, won player of the year (or whatever their award is called), got an opportunity to come home and play for a well respected club, doesn't even get to Round 1 and is sacked.

You'd have to say that's the end of him

Child support would be substantial.

you’ve got to be earning a wage to be able pay said child support. He would have zero skills away from footy except personal training so I can’t see him amounting to much now that you’d suspect his footy career is over.

Listen f**ker, you are the snowflake.

Wonder why players are assaulting women, because hero worshippers like yourself think it is fine and a joke can be made of it.

"Grab the old hag" and we wonder why these mentally challegned do it.
I didn't make the comment. In forums, some people express humour in many different ways. I loved how you spelt "mentally challenged"....the irony....lol

Kudos to the Cows for taking immediate action. As long as you’re not a plodder forward that is.

Barba had the world at his feet circa 2012, but has repeatedly tried to ruin what could’ve been a great career, since.
