Should we sign Trent Barrett

I've never seen so much resentment by Sharks supporters to the possible acquisition of a "high profile player".

Normally fans would prey for the arrival for any name player to the Club.

It would be very interesting to see the age demographic for "nay" and "yay".
I bet the "yay" are much younger supporters on average.

I have lived with false hope for as long as I can remember when it comes to the Sharkies.

Ever since the end of 73 when I thought beauty we've made a GF in our 6th year. There's always next year and ......Then what happens - we fail to resign Thomas and Cliff.

78 on the roll - robbed by Hollywood.

Injuries robbed us in 90 was it..

Then Ive had the false hope of great coaches and some not so great getting us over the line

Supercoach, Big Norm, Raper, Big Artie, Langy, Ando .......... the lists goes on and on.

Do you also realise that with the departure of Big Jack and Killer Ken we now have two club coaches that have passed on without seeing their former club do a victory lap. Life can be cruel.

So Noddy is just a small hiccup on the scale. Now we have Trenty Boy apparently.

Cheers

There wasn't this sort of resentment about Noddy when he first arrived.
Quite the opposite in fact.
Once again you are wrong.

There were fan petitions sent to the club & Kimmorley was booed from the field on several occassions in his first dozen games.
Then your favourite coach who seeing that a game was lost, took Kimmorley off & brought Preston on. Immediately preston went about setting up 2 match winning trys in the space of 8 minutes by playing deep & telling his backs to hit the ball at pace. He came off the field & Anderson castigated him for going away from the flat attack.
It was hilarious & set the tone of what the then endured for the next 6 years.
Rubbish unwatchable football.

That's the funniest bullshyte you've told on this forum.
Firstly he didn't set up two match winning tries.
Secondly he was not castigated.

It's Friday you must be on the wacky stuff eh?

you f*cken low life Liar.

He was directly responsible for the 2 tries & was given to 2 try assists.

When he was castigated it was visible on the fox sports cameras LIVE when Anderson Remonstrated.
Secondly, it was heard & seen through the sheds.
thirdly, it was heard from the horses mouth in front of more than 1 person.

f*ckwit.

the way i remember it was kimmorey was pulled off due to andersons reasoning that he was tired from a rep game or something, preston did have a hand in one try but we still lost the game.

The fans did cheer loudly when preston came on and kimmorley may or may nothave been liked at the time but they way you have described it is a bit of a juiced up story there.

I'm looking at the records & we may well have lost the game , so I will concede that. If it is the game I am thinking of then we scored 2 in the far corner, courtesy of Preston.
Kimmorley was booed the loudest I have heard in a long time & it came mostly from the ET stand.
There were numerous petitions that were sent to the club about the signing of Kimmorley, the axing of Preston & Anderson lying to the fans & saying that Preston would get first crack at the number 7 jumper.
There is no juice added to the Story. it was a sorry soap opera of disasters from the word go that we are finally only getting on top of now.

It was against parra, and we lost 36-6

It was 36 nil with about 8 to go when noddy got hooked if i remember correctly.

Presto the little master set up a try and the crowd went apeshyt. That was his last game in 1st grade i think.

Kimmorley - easily the mosted hated shark of all time.

Preston came on and had an immediate effect on the lines our attack were running.
Remember it like it was yesterday.

Aso remember Noddy starting the next game as if it never happened.
