Preston took to the field with 25 to go with rapturous applause & a strong message to Anderson from the fans, to which he fielded questions all week about the possible replacement of Kimmorley for Preston, given the immediate success Cambpell had. When campbell came on he immediately set up a wide deep play sending Mcdougal over for a try that was disallowed.
a few minutes later he did the same again & put Colin Best over in the corner. This was met with a furious fist slam from the coaches box & caught on Fox Sports Cameras.
This was the real start of the end of preston after being castigated in the Sheds by Anderson for not playing flat attack football.
A few weeks later Preston would be in reserve grade after the serious falling out with Anderson & Nibbles from Penrith after the rnd 11 match at penrith.
By the end of June Preston was requesting a release to join the Panthers & it was eventually granted at the start of August 2002.

To summarise & to to totally destroy Dragon Slayers f*ckwit ramblings once again, Kimmorley was hated by Sharks fans when he first arrived. There was little division like there is with barrett. The loudest chant you have heard at Shark Park since the Start of the 2002 season was the booo for kimmorley & the chant to bring preston into the rnd 9 game.
Anderson & Kimmorley have since turned out to be complete f*cking Disasters for the sharks & have cost us millions. Not hundreds of thousands, but millions.
They should be treated like the money sucking grubs they are.
