North Sydney Bears 32 (J Olive 2, J Roberts, S Manuleleua, M Hyland, A Gray tries; D Nicholls 4 goals) bt Wyong Roos 4 (B Leslie try)
SUMMARY: Under a new coach and new-look halves, the North Sydney Bears looked like a different team against the Wyong Roos. Coming into the game with just one win for the season, the Bears piled on six tries to one thanks to impressive performances by Cody Walker and Darren Nicholls.

Thanks for that.

Good to hear Nicholls went well too.

I think Wyong were coming 2nd or 3rd so that's a very good result for the Bears.

Nicholls looks the goods.
Actually the entire team looked to pass the ball very well from those highlights.

We'll be alright. Don't you worry.

Manly Sea Eagles 38 (B Leary 2, D Reardon, T Satini, D Kelly, M Chee Kam tries; K Aldridge 7 goals) bt North Sydney Bears 22 (S Manuleleua 2, J Olive, D Nicholls tries; Nicholls 3 goals)

SUMMARY: The Manly Sea Eagles made it two wins in a row with an impressive win over their arch rivals, the North Sydney Bears. Only leading 12-10 at half time, the Sea Eagles ran in four second-half tries thanks to strong performances by Dylan Kelly, Blake Leary and Tony Satini.

bUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE HALVES WALKER AND NICHOLS WERE VERY GOOD, HEARD SOME PLAYERS DUE BACK IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.hopefully they will help. Yesterdays game was riddled with stupid errors from the middle men, particularly the penalty on tackle 5 mid way through the second 1/2, gave Manly a try on the next set which gave to much momentum.

Newcastle Knights 26 (C Mata'utai 2, J Mamo, N Ross, L Fitzgibbon tries; C Redman 2, D Kerr goals) bt North Sydney Bears 22 (C Walker 3, J Olive tries; D Nicholls 3 goals)

SUMMARY: Newcastle Knights defeated North Sydney Bears 26-22 at No2 Sports Ground in the Hunter Valley. It took a while for Newcastle to kick into gear as they did not really take advantage of a strong wind in the first half. However a double from Chanel Mata'utia and an excellent individual try by Jake Mamo proved the difference with the Knights just having that little bit more in attack.

Good to see Tulsa Saumamao named to start at lock for the Bears this weekend.

Interesting to see that Sorensen is now on the bench for Norths. He must be in ordinary form.

North Sydney Bears 26 (D Millard, J Garlick, F Junior Mauala, C Walker, D Nicholls tries; Nicholls 3 goals) bt Penrith Panthers 18 (E Alono, C Smith, T Eisenhuth tries; W Smith 3 goals)

SUMMARY: North Sydney caused one of the upsets of the season defeating Penrith 26-18. Led by Daryl Millard, the Bears took full advantage of a sloppy first half performance from the Panthers to lead 16-0 at halftime before Penrith hit back during the second half to lead 18-16 with ten minutes remaining. But it was the Bears who prevailed through tries to Walker and Nicholls to seal a memorable win.

Both lads in the halves scoring a try this week.
They would be putting pressure on Madge to give them a go in the halves with Reynolds out... As much as i thought SUtton did a good job i would prefer him to play on the edge... we were missing a bit of spark out there now we dont have glen stewart either.

Considering players will be out for Origin duty i'm not sure this would be the best week....Parra won't be losing anyone! Maybe against the Tigers in a few weeks when they have Woods and Farah out...

Yes, norths got off to a good lead but were run down with not much time remaining, then Cody scored to take norths back to the front and Nicholls then scored to seal the match.
