Honestly, what is the definition of a "craft beer"?
Seems like anything thats not produced by the big 2 is thrown into that catagory
Tried some Burleigh 28 Pale Ale tonight. Not bad but jeez, for $20 a six pack there are better beers out there
You'd only be paying that much at BWS/Liquorland or one of the smallerindependents surely? Hovers around the $17 at Dan Murph's, well worth it, top drop. Haven't tried Duke, but I have a strong disdain for Hef. After enjoying real German Hefeweizen, there's no way Hef could live up to it
Dans + 1st Choice = SHIT (sorry Baz ;-) )
I know that I sell the Burleigh products cheaper than the nationals, $17.99 a six pack and $57.99 a case. Big Head at $14.99 a 6 pack and $47.99 a carton.
That Big Head sounds completely undrinkable, can anybody confirm otherwise?
BWS/Woolies Liquor/Macs Liquor and Liquorland are awful. Do not go there ever, prices are ludicrous.
Both were limited releases available through Woolworths (Woolies Liquor, BWS + Dan Murphys). They also did Reschs Draught (YAY!!!), Abbot's Lager, and Ballarat Bitter. Link. If you ring around you might find a BWS with some stock, but be aware they are limited to their particular "State of Origin" (BB + Gold Top = Qld, Reschs = NSW, Abbot's + Ballarat = Vic).
The report I got on Brisbane Bitter was you would be better off drinking alcoholic sewage (which makes it better than Hammer + Tongs). Haven't heard anything about the Bulimba Gold Top.
