I've been on the Carlsberg Elephants since ANZAC Night.

f**k me they're potent lol.

I think I'm causing myself permanent brain damage drinking this stuff, not that there was much to damage to begin with...

I swear to God, they use paint thinner and embalming fluid in the brewing process for Tiger. Shit is dangerous in a totally not fun way.

Started on them last night because they were 10RMB ($1.40) each, but soon switched to Tsing Tao when happy hour was over. Cricket club members only pay 12RMB

Haha tell me about it.

It's a beautiful country. Had about 9-10 beers last night (although three were the girlfriend's), she had burritos, and I had a jaeger schnitty and my bill was only just over $20

I loved the Tigers in Malaysia, and still buy a sixer in the hotter months every now and again without issues....are the ones you get brewed in Singapore do you know Bushy? I found them heavy on preservatives like all Asian beers but otherwise perfectly nice beers

I don't get it. You rag on Tiger, yet drink what is probably the worst beer in Asia. It is terrible inside or outside of China!

You either haven't had Singapore brewed Tiger, or you haven't played enough cricket on 35+ degree days in humid as f**k Nanjing. Tsingtao is piss, but at least it's not poison piss like Tiger.

Drank plenty of Tiger in my time, mostly in KL when my folks lived there (they live in Bangkok now so its all Singha). It was good gear. When I was in China, I ended up drinking one of Suntory's beers.

Not the fake stuff, I meant the real deal:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trappist_beer

Speaking of Trappist beer, have any if you on here ever tasted Westvleteren 12. It's extremely difficult to get a hold of because the monks that brew it only sell from the monastery by order.

I've found a store online that will sell one bottle for $40. As a beer lover I just really want to try it as it has been voted the number 1 beer in the world by RateBeer and Beer Advocate. However I'd also like to know if it lives up to the hype before I fork out that amount of money.

Wicked Elf Kolsch. Readily available, but I picked it up at the brewery in Port Macquarie. Pleasant, easy drinking beer. Quite malty, but a sessionable beer. Not sure if at $17 a 4 pack the price is right.

I just remember drinking something in a clear bottle, white and silver label and it seemed to be trying to be like Corona. Gotta do something while cruising down the Yangzhe.

Four Pines Extra English Bitter. Only available on tap at the Brewhouse. I have been tough on Four Pines in the past, but this is an absolute cracker beer. A great combination of bitter and sweet, up to my 4th pint. Almost unique in the Aust market, think a better quality Burleigh Brewing My Wife's Bitter.

Four Pines Pumpernickel Ale. Hand pumped and made in a traditional English Bitter style. Complex drink that will appeal to those who like a darker variety with a grassy note.
