Tucking into a flagon of Kereru AT-AT Pilsener. 11.5%, very very nice.
Amendment: Immensely drinkable. If not aware of the alcohol content, one could get sh*tfaced very quickly.

Rolled on into my local for the last of the bourbon barrel aged brown ale.

Lo and behold, their 750ml high end bottles are on sale for $7 as they are about to 'expire' according to local regs.

I carried a box home. The wife is unhappy.

The box cost $42. That was all the answer I needed.

Brewcult "Milk & Two Sugars" Imperial Milk Stout. I approached this expecting an absolute flavour bomb (7.2% ABV + two forms of coffee). It's actually kind of the opposite. One of the few coffee infused beers that tastes like they used better coffee than International Roast, it is quite refined and tastes almost like an espresso from a half decent cafe.

If you can find it, grab it. Limited supply, and after winning the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular it will move rather quick.

Is there such a thing as a good East African beer?

So far I've tried:

Serengeti - Somewhat decent taste.
Safari - Strong for an African beer (5.5%) but bland.
Ndovu - Best tasting.
Tusker - f**king pisswater.
Kilimanjaro - Slightly better than the above.

To make matters worse, the primary import beers here are Heineken and Carlsberg. It's enough to drive a man to sobriety.

I know I'm way late to the party but I just tried a Feral Hop Hog for the first time.

Just brilliant! Will be buying more in future.

Anyone sipping on some cold suds this evening?

I've pretty much banned beer from my house, except after playing sport, or watching the dragons..

my taste buds miss it, my waistline doesn't..

Tooheys Darling Pale Ale. Pretty sure they mixed New + White Stag and sell it as a new drink.
Yeah we got that in at work, gave it a try. Not terrible but nothing particularly flavoursome

Got a 6 pack of White Rabbit Belgian Pale Ale today, and a longneck of Old. I think the longy will be tonight and the 6 pack will be fore the cricket tomorrow
