Agar has had a few head coach jobs in U.K., isn’t a very fashionable coach with the fans, but is never out of work. Has been assistant to a few decent coaches over the years.
He inherited a Leeds team at the bottom of the SL ladder that had just lost its ‘golden generation’ who’d won everything together, multiple times. Has helped rebuild the squad and won the Challenge Cup last year.
Certainly has a good knowledge of the game, not particularly charismatic, which is probably why fans don’t rate him, but as I say, he’s never out of work, so clearly those behind the scenes at various clubs have rated him.

Leeds have just announced a few mins ago that he’s extended for 2022…. Can’t be coincidence, must be in response to Buzz’s article

This did the rounds a few weeks back, about the time that “Phil Rothfield” was posting on here
Coincidence?
I think not

This is one of my favorite fluffy thread's ever.

I notice Bellamy keeps putting off until the 17th team decision is made.

If a yeah, he signs one more in Melbourne before back to Brissy.

If a nay, probably stay in Melbourne.

But cling to the hope he will be a Shark, it is funny.

I was 90% he was leaving the storm but assumed the announcement would come around them having the bye this week to not interrupt their season and get it sorted before the home stretch to the finals. If it’s not announced in the next few days then I can see nothing changing till after the season is done and then I think we are around 50% chance. Even if he announced he was leaving the storm today, I don’t expect a 2nd announcement on what he will be doing till the off season.

Sorry about the bump,

This question has been bugging me since the news broke about CB possibly coming to the club.

It seems that it can't be denied Cronulla is an attractive enough destination for CB to make this a difficult decision for him. Just that fact that he has considered our offer and appears to be genuinely interested/torn speaks volumes about the club IMO.
However, as a Sharkies fan, I can't understand why? I am not shitting on the club, from what I can see we have made great strides forward on and off the field and the club is on the up however I would have thought that CB could essentially get an attractive offer from most clubs with whatever working arrangements he wanted.

I can understand why he might not want to go to the donkeys but why would Craig be tempted to leave the Storm for a similar role? I mean he built that club. Are we offering crazy money? is it somehow more convenient for him to be in Sydney v Melbourne?

It's a genuine question, that as a sharks fan I would love to know the answer to, what is attractive about the club or the offer to CB that has him interested?

Mostly I want to know so that I can shove it in the face of my non-sharks supporting friends and family.

Anyways, I hope he comes!

Believe he is moving out of Melbourne back to QLD for family. Assume that he doesn't want to travel to Melbourne for work?

Id have to say that we are a shot cos we asked.

How good if we land Bellamy because it's a more convenient commute! 😂

Kudos to the board for being the Sydney Club who asked, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe because we are rich. Bank Balance rich. Area rich, beach rich, asset rich, salary cap rich, sponsorship rich and looking at 2 new acquisitions (income streams) if rumours are to be believed.

Our offer is rumoured to be $1.6 million.
