I have read their posts and can connect the dots.

They are unhappy with the NRLs delay in registering a contract and also the stipulations in and around training / joining the team and therefore 'artificially' possibly lengthening the ban / leading to his defection.

While parts of that may be true, again as Walt said, no one is to blame but Benny. He put himself in this situation with his actions.

As i mentioned previously if you put yourself in the NRL hands, expect them to drop the ball like Pommeroy.

You're not the brightest tool in the shed are you?

Alcohol is also a drug yet no one batted an eyelid when Terepo from Parramatta endangered people's lives by getting behind the wheel and driving a car while under the influence and puts people's lives in danger in the process yet no one bats an eyelid, Barba snorts cocaine while celebrating his team's premiership win endangering no one except himself and somehow people think it's worthy to pick up their flametorches and pitchforks and run him out of town.

That's the stupid part about it and the reason why the NRL is as inconsistent as all f**k.

Brightest tool in the shed??

Mate, the more you type, the dumber you get. Lol

Let me help you out.......SHARPEST tool in the shed.

Show me Terepo's prior stuff ups?

I agree, he got off light, but that does NOTHING to change Benny boys situation.

He is a serial offender. Get it through your thick skull.

Good riddance.

Do you remember where SBW went when he walked out on the Bulldogs?

Gasnier too.

Ive always been of the opinion it doesn't matter if a star or two go to RU every now and then but of all the players to defect in recent years SBW and Toulon provided the biggest blow to the NRL. The midseason poaching of the biggest star in the game, that actually hurt.

Mate they both actually asked why cant he play rugby in france while suspended. So if you think they don't have a problem with that part of it then no, you can't connect the dots.

And then in the same posts went on to complain about the NRL taking its time.

Jaded comments, nothing more. That's what connecting the dots is champ.

If these two can reply and confirm whether they actually think that Barba should be able to hold a contract in the NRL and jet off to play Union while he's suspended and return, i'd appreciate it.

No one in their right mind would believe he should be entitled to do this. You only have to read the posts in the sharks forum to also then understand that is the popular opinion.

I believe Taylor had a Train+Trial contract with Canberra?

Unsure of whether or not that was registered with the NRL or if there are any process/requirements for this.

Also can any Canberra fan who's reading confirm this? As im genuinely unsure of the setup with the coal train.

Not Skeepe though, he'll complain about a ref somehow.

I'm an idiot for wanting confirmation of someones opinion?

You're an idiot because I said so. Why would Carchy be here bagging the NRL for not letting him serve his suspension playing for Toulon and even arguing that French rugby union isn't a competitor of the NRLs if he didn't think Barba should be allowed to go? Myyrkhen has literally been questioning why he cant do exactly that for days and bagging the NRL for it. But yeah they don't actually think that, they are just saying it over and over because they like looking stupid as f**k.

Carcharias is getting so salty that if he's not careful, barba may try snort him next by mistake..

I was doing suicide shots last week, snort the salt, down the tequila and squeeze the lemon in your eye. Good times, im hard as f**k.

Grow up and have a conversation without the need to resort to insults. I have an opinion, you have an opinion.

He f**ked up
The NRL have basically lost one of its most popular stars all because they couldn't get they're shit together.

Competitor?
He was banned from training without even having a suspension.
How does that work?

Haha
The France option only came about because the NRL didn't actually suspend him.
He signed a club contract weeks ago .
In the end he gave up waiting to see if the NRL would acknowledge it.

Yes the delay is the problem. He was happy to re-sign with the sharks on a reduced contract which suggests he was happy to wait the 12 weeks. But NRL are stretching it out.

That's me connecting the dots which is why i said they are clearly jaded, not to mention, i post in the Sharks forum where i see these two interact more often in this manner.

You are making the assumption based off their posts that they truly believe that he should be able to hold an NRL contract simultaneously and play Union in France to serve his ban.

I'm making the assumption after reading these type of threads for years where they complain about the NRL over this player or that player or this saga, that they are as usual jaded with the NRL.

I'd be honestly surprised if they both held the view that Barba could be legally contracted to the Sharks and the NRL and serve his suspension in France.

The issue most sharks fans have had with it, is the lack of registering the contract and a '12 match ban' could effectively be however long the NRL wanted it (with good reason).

TLDR: Barba gone, don't care, his fault, nrl played a part. Au Revoir. Holmes the future.

Look I'm the first to admit Barba f**ked up no arguments from me on that point.

However what does piss me off is the constant double standards by the NRL administration.

Andrew Johns openly admits he snorted the very thing Barba did throughout his entire career and then gets arrested in the U.K. but then he is afforded a cushy job in the NRL media and is given Immortal status.

Then the NRL makes up the rules again as they go along carrying on like they are a moral crusader and the second coming of Billy Graham.

CH9 gave Joey a media gig and RLW made him an Immortal.

And he got arrested for pingers if memory serves me right.

But carry on..

Channel 9 are still the official broadcast rights holder for the NRL are they not?

The fact is no one bats an eyelid about Johns being involved in the league media and yes he was arrested for possession of ecstasy but it doesn't alter my argument the bloke openly admits he was on the marching powder his entire career and the guy was employed as a member of Manly's coaching staff not that long ago and is employed to commentate on games by the league's broadcast partner yet the league plays with itself and stalls on registering the contract of a player for doing the exact same thing as a bloke held up as one of the game's all time legends while pretending they are moral crusaders. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

By eating your cake you actually 'have' it in a more complete sense than when it is sitting on a plate in front of you..

For if you leave the table, if you have eaten your cake, it goes with you.. it is part of you.. it's nutrients bond to your internal molecules.. you have both had your cake and eaten it.

If you haven't eaten the cake, it is at risk of being eaten by someone else (possibly Andrew Fifita) and then you not only don't have your cake, you can't eat it either. You get nothing.

I know the news might of only recently made its way to Adelaide and allowing for the time it'd take for you to comprehend the information means this is still a bit raw, but for the rest of us this happened the best part of a decade ago so probably not too many gonna take this trip down outrage memory lane with you.

Yeah and remember how the NRL headed by ch 9 got down on the ground and licked the floor for them to come back?
Those blokes just shit on the NRL and up and left.

Barba probably didn't even want to go to rugby.
