Ben Lee is possibly the most untalented, Uninspired successfull musician to grace the earth. The fact he won an ARIA is evidence of the state of Aussie Music.

The bottom line is, the Aussie public are becoming less and less musically educated, and increasingly influenced by the media and other people.

I disagree with you're first paragraph to a certain extent. The ARIA's appear to be less and less representitive of the state of Aussie music, and they tend to lump all of the awards on one or two safe, innoffencive acts to keep up appearances. I mentioned in a previous thread my distaste at Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds being completely ignored for (apparently) petty reasons that have nothing to do with his ability as an artist.

You Am I havn't broken up....they're actually recoding their seventh album in the studio's now, then plan to tour this summer. They left their record label last year, but have never broken up.

I'm willing to bet my left testicle when it finally is released will sell more then all of Ben Lee's work all together, apparently from all reports the album is just a brillant piece of work and perfection at it's best hence the delay.

I'd rather wait 10 years to listen to a brillant album then put up with sh*te from Ben lee each year.

Thank god Bon Jovi released a new album to help restore some of that old arena glory on the airwaves.
