I'd take him at Brisbane, would be a truckload better than Hoffman at 5/8!

I agree i would have him at the broncs no worries.
A lot depends on the price tag but if he came cheap its worth a shot.
A definate improvement on our cjrrent 5/8.
Ok big pete tell me why we shouldnt.

We have Hoffman at 5/8.. and I think I would rather keep him.

Benji is more likely to cost you points these days.

Hoffman butchers overlaps, Benji at 10% is better than Hoffman!

Benji probably is the better player in attack, even if he is 47x worse than he use to be. However, Hoffman has actually made a tackle before.

That said, if the money was there to sign him for this year and this year only.. sure.

Souths need a 6? Luke Keary. He is injured.

Storm, maybe, but they rate Hampton.

not so sure about keary, if hes available now could give them some spark

sharkies favourites with ex tigers there

bulldogs need a fullback, benji could do ok at 1

He would return to the Tigers first choice no doubt.
Depends on how savvy Mayer is in negotiations but we could snag a cheap depth option or play him at 6.

Benji represents Scott Prince Mark II - bringing in a short term solution that will short circuit the long term development of our younger players.

I know it won't happen (because Griffin doesn't understand how to develop young players), but I would rather we promote Duncan P., Kodi or Strasser to No. 6 and wear their mistakes, than bring Benji into the club.

Of course, Griffin has opted for option 3 - the worst one: playing Hoffman out of position which neither develops his best game, and at the same time stops young players developing.

to be fair to benchy he hasnt had a decent 7 since scott prince left

luke brooks has potential and with marshalls experience it could work

sironen and anasta can shift to the forwards.

Serious?

As much as I love the effort wighton puts in, he isn't a half of NRL standard. I'd love so much for him to go back to the wing. To be honest, I'd happily take Marshall.

Stuart isnt dropping Wighton. He sees him as the long term 5/8th
What ever you think of that is what it is, the guy picking the team has his eggs in the Wighton basket. He's not going to drop them all for Benji Marshall

and if Wighton is moved from the halves, it wont be to the f**king wing where he is completely wasted, it will be to centre where he has already proven to be a quality NRL footballer

Cows got dis

Benji>Lui

Is there any other catch crys I've missed??.....

Definitely agree.

I would have him at the Cowboys in a heartbeat. Our attack cannot get much worse as it is.

I would take him at a club that has a dominant half or play him at centre where he played against the dragons. At centre he looked very sharp because he was focused on just running without having to organise.

That's a good point. A team lacking a strike centre could pick him up on the cheap and see how it goes

I wouldn't be too unhappy if he turned up at Souths for a discount price. Don't think he'd get a run in the halves but he may make a decent centre. If that failed, the Bears are desperately short of a playmaker.

It's not just about on field stuff with benji

The bloke has a shit attitude and it effects the whole club. Potter walked into a shit storm last year after benji throw the dummy when his good mates Ryan and heighno were shown the door. The guy said on the footy show that night 'I don't care if I win or lose, that's not what it's about, it's about playing with your mates'

This is the mentality he has. It's no surprise to me at all that he has thrown a hissy fit about not walking into the blues team and running the show. Instead of going back to club rugby and working on his game like most people would it's all too hard so he wants to come back to where he had it so good.

I think it would be a massive mistake by any team to go near him, I doubt even Bennett, Bellamy or has,er could control him
