If Bennet does come I hope there would be a clean out of all the coaching staff and all the players would need to be assessed. Bennet has proved what a coach can do by bringing juniors through to first grade.
It will be interesting to see what Millward does in recruitment and extensions to our current players.
But right now we can only dream.

But Millward has extended Latimore and signed the likes of Dufty, Aitken, Lafai and Mann beyond this season. When I heard that Latimore was extended for another year, I started to doubt Bennett is coming - because I'm sure he would not want him.

If Bennett is coming, Millward won't be at SGI mainly because Bennett won't want him. Same goes for Mary and his merry men. Very hard decisions to be made by our new Board and CEO.

That may be where the problem lies.
If by having Bennett, the board my not want a total clean out of the coaching stuff.
They may want to keep Young, Hornby & Head onboard so you would think that such a case would clash with Bennetts overall coaching strategies.

I still think its possible and hope that he may come for 2019 but more so unlikely now.

I'd say it is about time Hornby and Young let go the SGI apron strings and get a real coaching job where they will be held accountable for their decisions/actions. I suggest the ESL. I believe head is experienced enough to find another assistants job.

Can't see it happening...we would have to lose every game from here and that may not even do it.

If Bennett does come back to the dragons he will clean out the barnacles....but that's the trouble, that's why they'll fight tooth and nail not to have him back

Saints retention is the best it has ever been so not sure why Millward will go. Bennett has a great record in retention lately especially letting go of Hunt for Bird. Pure genius.........Not as that is what they are lacking big time this year. Millward / Saints out thought the master in Bennett by getting Hunt signed up before they did.

I really hope he does not come back. He is done. Bronco's are a smart club, they would not be tossing him out if they thought he had more years left in him. He is carrying on like a pork chop and still has a year to go at the Bronco's (the club he loves). I could understand if this was his last year but it is not and is guaranteed 2019. If he is that good he should not worry about it now as all he has to do is have a good year and they will extend but to carry on like he is, he must have doubts that he will have a good season next year. Why, because he has let go of one of the best halves in the comp. Hunt will come good don't you worry.

Regarding Bennett
I seriously doubt he will be coming to us in 2019 and I doubt he would come to us at all.
IMO, he is more likely to take on the England coaching role on a more permanent basis.

We are more likely to replace McGregor with someone with a similar name to Bennett.............

Cant have Bennett hed be WAY too successful!
Dragons board dont want to ever win a GF again, they only aim for top 8, top 4 max..thats success and Mcregor will deliver!

Mary has now had 4 and half years as our coach and hasn't got anything to show for it. Our management should be able to see that. I do recall reading a recent article saying that our management weren't sure if Mary could take us all the way to a premiership and that we were pursuing Bennett.

I won't be surprised to see Bennett coaching us next year.
