Then the whole team rectify it at the start of the second half, when RCG and Tamou are not on the field.

It's just like magic.

Then they get to come back on while we are firmly on top and ride the momentum and it's a case "oh look how wonderful they are. They've really turned it around this week. They run really hard that distance before they hit the line and make really mean faces."

He should be on the bench in the Latimore role where he belongs and Latu should be starting because Latu has produced form in the starting side that RCG has never reached in his whole career. Atleast Tamou was once upon a time better than a bench prop.

The first Knights try was from a pretty clear pass off the ground. The second followed an extremely soft penalty. They did come out fired up and made very easy metres in the first quarter of the game, with a few leg ups it must be said (which were squared up in the second half). Really it could have been much worse if they hadn't coughed up so much ball in the back end of the first half and throughout the second.

Our level of fitness just seemed way superior as the game went on. I was a bit annoyed that the game was stopped for a minute or so while a Knights player went off for a HIA midway through the second half when they were doing a line dropout and looked about to crack. He should have been walked around the edge of the field and play gone on.

Apparently the refs won us the game and the rest is irrelevant to knights fans.

The starts is something wrong with the whole team. We were rolling through Newcastle and making good metres in the first 10 minutes of the game yesterday, then like previous weeks we make a mistake, compound it with a penalty and don't have the ability to defend our way out of it.

I agree.

The first 60 seconds of yesterdays game was quite positive. Just like the week previous.

A penalty, missed tackle, soft try etc. As soon as something doesn't go according to the plan the team has their heads down. Its like groundhog day.

I was watching the reaction of the players to some penalties we gave away in the first half. There was almost no reaction to the referee at all. Almost like they expected it to happen.

This stuff reminds me of the Elliott days which I thought were well behind us.

Spot on. It started with the Cleary kick caught in goal.

Phil Gould once said that the issue is the team's ability to recover from a set back. It was said some time last year.

It is still spot on.

We concede a try to a questionable pass off the ground and then heads down we compound it with a penalty and conversely another try.

Latu has played one good game all season and Brown is a run of the mill bench prop, but yeah bringing those two on are what turns us around. We have 13 guys on the field at all times, but its our two starting props that are the cause of our issues and our two bench props that are the fix to our issues, the other 13 guys don't matter, solid logic.

Tamou has more tackle breaks than any of our forwards this year and RCG has more than Latu fyi. But yeah they just hit the line and go down like you always claim hahaha.

He can but he won't play 80 like yesterday

Also the question still remains can Cartwright pick up the slack? Even if Browne drops off he's averaging 80m on 30 mins work.
I don't care if he plays 80. Give me 50 minutes in beast mode & happy days. Kikau can have 15 mins a half to run hard. Just because a player can go the full game doesn't mean they have to. It's handy in case of injuries, but not something needed every week. There is far too much shuffling around as it is to try and accommodate for crap that doesn't matter.

Brown was pretty good yesterday, decent work rate & at least looked like he was trying for a quick play the ball.

Cartwright will need to play 80 though.

I don't see the work rate we need coming from him yet, aside from being injury prone he doesn't seem to have those charging meters in him. Needs to harden up.

RCG's tackle breaks are from the second stint against Melbourne and Brisbane when we were playing touch football and contributed f**k all.

RCG and McKendry begin as starting props last season and we're shit. We have to wait until they get off the field before we get into games, and all you muppets say it's because RCG is softening them up. Latu should be thanking RCG for all his starting work. Obviously nonsense because RCG and Mckendry piss off and Latu and Matagi begin starting and we improve immensely.

Fast forward this season, RCG and Tamou are starting and we're not just dire, we are specifically dire in first halves.

All one big coincidence.

Anyway it shouldn't matter much these coming weeks because he's a shoe in for SOO right?

Harden up? He's got an excellent running game. Playmaking is his problem.

Our team faces a unique challenge in the fact our roster is a bit to full of first grade quality players.
There needs to be some tough decisions made.
Peachy should be back in the centres, Moylan to 5/8 and Edwards into the team.
Hiku and whare to reserve grade with the inclusion of the sauce.
If CHN isn't going to be here next year fisher Harris should have his spot when fit.

There isn't really enough second row minutes available for yeo, merrin, fish, chn, Cartwright, peachy but they are all excellent players.

On current form Cartwright should be on the bench. Start the game with CHN ( or fish) for the tough stuff and bring him into the back row after 20 minutes.

Latu,Cartwright, kikau and if we can fix the TMM situation put him on the bench as utility / hooker.
If TMM is gone put either chn or fish in the squad.
I do really like akaoula as well, he was a menace during his 15 minutes yesterday, runs and hits so hard, but there isn't room for everyone.

Edwards,
mansour waqa peachy DWZ
Moylan, Cleary
Merrin
Yeo, CHN
Tamaou, Wallace, RCG

Cartwright, latu, kikau TMM

Hahaha wow your delusion knows no bounds, you continually blame every issue on RCG.

I was wrong about RCG playing origin I am happy to admit that unlike yourself who wont admit you are wrong about anything no matter how obvious it is, in fact you go the other way and imply anyone who disagrees with you just doesn't know anywhere near as much as you, even the most clear evidence that your opinion is wrong is explained away with some bull shit excuse such as above, you are truly full of shit IMO. You still think Bryce's best position is the halves? I remember you argued to death last season, hows that going? Probably RCGs fault that Bryce is throwing intercepts and forwards passes each week right?

If those two aren't turning it around on their own I doubt they're causing the problems on their own either.

His theory is full of holes. As I stated we were rolling through Newy just fine with Tamou and RCH starting, same can be said of the Warriors and Brisbane, we were literally winning the field positional battle pretty easily in all of those game before we f**ked it up. We make mistakes and drop our heads and our defence is to easilty cracked, that is the whole squads issue blaming it on two props is ridiculous. All of our issues for the last few years have all had RCG at the centre of them is some way according to chris.

Harden up? He's got an excellent running game. Playmaking is his problem.

Stats don't show he gets good meters per run. This year he's way down at 7.1m per run, although there's some factors here

But,

2016 he got 8.1m per run

2015 he got 8.5m per run

In 2015 Lewis Brown his backrow partner got 10.3m per run

In 2016 isah Yeo had 9.3m & Merrin had 9.3 too.

Chris Grevsmuhl had 9.8

8 metre range is low for a backrower.
