just got gould's response to my forum question in my email as follows, pretty predictable

Will we see Matt Moylan at 5/8th this year?

Andrew

Thanks for your question

I don't know what the future may hold. That's entirely up to the coaches. At the moment Matt Moylan is the best fullback in this club, and his best position in this club at this time is in the number one jersey.

Thanks again

I got mine. Same question:

Thanks for your question

I think Matt Moylan is a terrific fullback. I know many people of offered the opinion he could play 5/8.

Maybe that could happen sometime into the future. Right now though, his best position for this club is playing in the number one jersey.

Thanks again

There's a genuine argument for a 17 that doesn't include Bryce Cartwright I think.

Honestly the bloke is extremely soft for his size. Not talking about injuries but talking about his lack of running meters & his tackling. Not sure how you justify playing a guy who's major talent is offloads & short passes.

Of course there is the argument that his chopping & changing positions has stymied his development.

Bryce sees himself as a lock, meanwhile our actual lock ran for 210 meters & had 37 tackles with only 2 missed. Do you ever see Cartwright doing this?

Cartwright is being f**ked by Griffen. Give him a shot at lock & see how he goes. Let him play like he did in the 20s. Poor prick is confused & thinks he has to create everything. Let him just belt it up, offload when it's on & call it if he sees something. Leave the rest to Cleary & Moylan with Edwards playing as a supporting fullback.

That's a fair point but either way perhaps he needs time in reserves to regain that type of game?

Also can you really move Merrin after the game he had yesterday? Probably our best individual forward performance of the year.

He got some of the most running in CvC because he was allowed to run more. He is very good at it. Gets good post contact metres. They need to move him back to the forwards ASAP so we can utilize his strengths.

Merrin can do the same job with the 8 or 10 on his back.

Cartwright is/was playing injured.

The less hit ups our props make the better, 4 out of 5 are junk and we'd be better served by anyone else hitting the line.

RCG has been playing pretty well. You must hate that
Yeah he's killing it. SOO right around the corner for him like everyone said, no doubt.

Him and Tamou are the inverse momentum league leaders, our first halves and starts to games are the worst of any team in the league.

The starts is something wrong with the whole team. We were rolling through Newcastle and making good metres in the first 10 minutes of the game yesterday, then like previous weeks we make a mistake, compound it with a penalty and don't have the ability to defend our way out of it.
