Not sure about today but all time has to be Darren Lockyer by a mile.

Having the word "league" in there twice is kind of redundant.
I'd have to say Benji. I remember 6 or 7 games in a row in 2011 (or 2010??) where the Tiges where out of it with 8 or 9 minutes to go and Benji got them home. However, they were usually in such trouble because he did f**k all for the first 72 minutes!
Have to laugh at all the usual whiney bitches kicking up over the term "clutch". Hope they realise all the other words aren't 'stralian either!
TBH, If a team was in a tight finish I'd want Jamie Lyon to be in the side. Lots of halfbacks are coming up because they kick field goals but for game breaking plays Lyon is quite good.

Thurston easily my pick at the moment. DCE will probably be that type of player aswell. I'd say best in the future will be Shaun Johnson but I might be biased (probably) but he did set up the game winning play in the tigers and storm matches and sparked our comeback in the GF setting up both tries and almost another. Benji is at his best when the game isn't in the clutch
Obviously the way they got there has been forgotten.Obviously the 2010 prelim final, kicked out on the full with 6 to go.and last years semi against the warriors has been forgotten
I would hate to have Benji or Farrah as clutch players, who can forget last years semi against the warriors ?up with 5 to go 30m out and they ran it on the last.
Best clutch goal kicker by a mile is soward, his kicking in origin, the 2010 gf and last years broncos semi was best since halligan.
The thread isn't about a pressure game, it's about pressure situations when the game is in the balance. Souths were down & out early on in that round 26 game. Sandow hasn't played internationals, SOO or even NRL finals, but he can make or break a team's fortunes.
No doubt Marshall can be one of the NRL's best in the clutch, but as Tim Sheens said about the way the Tigers play, "they keep me young, but they make me old".
